I am disgusted to my yahoo email address because of so many many spammers. I received it daily, weekly and some monthly. Imagine my inbox now have 19,598. Can you read this all? It's awkward for me to continue using this email address so I decided to change it from yahoo to hotmail. Do you experience the same and decided also to change your email address? I am amaze this all spammers how they get our address. This kind of promotion is very bad for all.

Wow, that's crazy!! I have had my yahoo account for many years and the spam filter has always managed to catch most of it. Do you mark the spam that does get through as spam? Because it will usually catch it next time.

Not all spam message catch by the spam that is why alot enter into my inbox. It's really crazy to think why this happen. Maybe it's because I enter alot of site before but some of them are gone. Maybe the admin catch all my email address that is why I received this kind of emails. Some admin also sell email address to companies.

That's weird because I sign up for all sorts of things on the net with my email and still hardly any spam gets through.

this is down part of Yahoo as many spammer leeches yahoo mail id by some leech tool ,however yahoo has upgrade there e-mail system and I don't get spam mails .one of the reason maybe because of use of e-mail id joining in some paid program.they sell our e-mail ids and that's how we get thousand of spam letters daily.this going to happen with every e-mail services. just keep your private email as personal and use some other e-mail account to join paid programs.Yahoo e-mail account is free and you can create multiple account .

Hi anito: I can't beleive this. It seems to me that I've made a good decition when I chose Gmail as my main email address thought. Spammers are horrible, I don't know how they do this but they can attack email adress sending their mails that we sure don't want to read. Thanks for your answer. Have a nice day. ALVARO.

Hi Julyteen -- Several months ago I got an email that said when someone responds to "forwards" there's a good chance there's an email tracker program attached. If you are an email forwarder, STOP. It's not going to get rid of the spam you already have, but could possibly eliminate more spam. Those emails are cute and although I want to share them with friends, I've quit playing the forwarding game. Be especially suspicious if the email tells you to send it to 10 friends in 10 minutes or you'll have bad luck. You don't need to prove a person is your friend by forwarding something to them. Try not forwarding stuff if you do. If you don't and you still have all that spam, I guess they've found you some other way.

You spend time to delete those nonsense spam mails. I am tired of deleting them day by they. Better to create another email. Maybe yahoo can easily be spam if the filter to spam is not turn on.

I know what you mean and I understand how you feel. I get like hundreds of spam emails a day in my yahoo account. I'm also amazed at how most of them get our email addresses as well. The constant spam in my yahoo email box is really annoying to the point that any email I don't recognize, I won't bother with anymore.

This is the problem with yahoo because most of the spammer can enter direct to the site. Be careful also to visit different sites, it happen many times admin of different site used to spam their members. It's really annoying if you got hundreds of emails everyday.

I have IE but with Thunderbird Mozilla and its cut down a lot on spam plus I can work with mylot notications directly to mylot and back with lots of tabs if I need them, its better than the old I E by its self. I really like Thunderbird Mozilla.its a neat email addition.

that's amazing, how come they know your email address? but wait, have you not joined any sites before, like those of the lottery sites, other social networking sites, that you have posted your email address? or it could be because you were not active for quite some times, that you were not able to read them all? i guess you don't have to change email address, you can only treat them spam if you do not want to receive email messages from those senders, and yahoo will filter them next time.

Most of the time people do make their email id in hurry to do some task or they usually dont get availability of the desired email id. these are most of the time is reasion. Other then that there are reasions like if some one has lost or for to give to new person or new Boy friend. Most of the time girls do make new email id when they are about to get married. As they have to start a new life and in their new life they dont want any past relations to carry forward.

Hi july teen: I think this should be disappointed because, when you change your email address you need to tell all your friend list that you've made this change and this could be sometimes difficult. I have a Gmail address and it works just fine. I don't have any problems with the spam because they have a good filter. Thanks for sharing with us what has happened to you. Have a nice day. ALVARO

I've had my Yahoo email for more than 10 years now. I used to have like 1000 in my spam/bulk mail. Just like you I was feeling disgusted. For a time, I was thinking of switching it, but somehow it has become part of me. Today, I have noticed decreasing amount of spam. On average, I have about 500 or so in my spam/bulk folder. I go through this every week, but lots of time I just look at the subject without opening them because they are so obvious. Whether you switch to another e-mail account, spam will always follow for some reasons. I have 4 e-mail accounts, each for various reasons. What you can do is just ignore them. G.

Maybe this is a lesson for me now and to refrain from joining different sites that has a bad reputation. I create an official email address now to get away from this spamming email that can destruct my important messages.

I think that the response that you are talking about has been deleted from your discussion, so admin must have thought that it was offensive too!!
