Its very hard to have a long distance relationship, trust is the most important aspect on that. if you both don't trust each other, then it wouldn't last long.

Hi, I am into a long distance relationship, and funny thing is that, this is the longest relationship I ever had, and hopefully, I will be married to him. Advantages would be lesser instances of fights, though disadvantages could be one that relates to getting colder and colder.
Just a tip, always keep the communication open. Even if you are far apart, it doesn't mean you can keep secrets, it is best that you stay honest with each other even if you're not seeing often.

There is a mylotter here before who is a Filipina and got married with her boyfriend. They just meet online and deals with a long distance relationship. She told me how hard it is to stay on that kind of relationship. She keeps on telling that patient is a must in order for it to succeed in the end. She is now living happily with her husband and I can say that she is my inspiration whenever I feel down. Their relationship went on up and down but they manage it.
I am in a long distance relationship for almost 3 years. I never thought we could go this far. Many of my friends disagree with the kind of relationship I have. Some people thought this won't last long and may not even take a year. However, somehow I prove them wrong. Although, my boyfriend and I are not yet married, I can say that our relationship is alright. We sometimes came to the point in which I thought we would eventually break up. I think it is because of love that we are not breaking up. Relationship becomes hard if the ingredients needed in it are missing. We all know that love, trust, respect, understanding, and an open communication, are the must in any relationship. If any one of those fails, the relationship can fall apart. Despite our busy schedule, we still find time to communicate with each other. We many not chat always as we used before but we still keep in touch with each other through emails and phone. We also experience having heated arguments but we were able to cope up with it. As what my friend told me, patient must be always there. As we are so many miles far away from each other, having the faith to one another is what we always show. That is one thing that bind us more.
