Cutting my hair

I have VERY long hair, which at this point has sort of become my trademark. I have gotten to a point that I need to cut my hair. For many reasons I guess. I am thinking of cutting enough off to donate to Locks for Love. Has anyone done this? I'd like to hear from people who have had experience with this. Also any ideas on a good style? This is all new to me. I havent had short(er) hair for years!

I've donated my hair - 2 ponytails worth to Locks of Love. At the time they wanted it clean and I think at least 10 inches in length. I had my hair down to my butt for the longest time for years (simply because I was too lazy to go get it cut - so it just grew). I'm not one for hair styles . . . I like convenient cuts, especially now since I have to little ones. My last hair cut was done by my husband - hee hee!!

hello, how are you ? you will be appeared difference with your long hair because it is not much woman with this kind hair to days. But if you need to cut for your own reasons, such as it will make you easier to scratch, shampoo etc you can do it as you like, you would be better question to your very close persons, perhaps your fiance, parents. sometimes it is nice to be difference, change our past, friends, place (according to me) just wait for several days and make up your mind before decide. But if you cut your hair and then you feel not good you can wait only several months it will grow longer again. above all thanks for your interesting topic that made me send a post again and increasing my earning hihihihihi see as around 3years mYlot member I posted only ess than 600, myLoter from India and also US called me : "Hey, LAZY justinus, how are you ?" hihihihh

I have had short hair for years.It's not because I don't like have long hair.In fact I like long hair very much.But I will cut my hair when I am sad for somethings.However I'm not thinking of cutting enough off to donate to locks for love sb,only for forget the unhappy things.

Wow that is really nice for you to donate your hair to Locks for Love. I have seen a Tyra episode once and there was this girl who haven't cut her hair for like 10 years and they cut it in Tyra's show like up to her chin! That was really a drastic transformation for her but she looked really better. Why don't you try it? You can still grow it if you do not like seeing yourself with short hair and there are a lot of short-medium lenght hairstyles that are really beautiful.

I have never heard of locks for love but it is very good of you to consider a donation, if you feel it is the time to cut your hair then go ahead. Everytime I have my hair done it makes me feel different kind of refreshed and the thing about hair is that it always grows back. Good luck
