helen was referred to as the face that launched a thousand ships. because she left sparta and went to troy with paris, a war which lasted for ten years happened. many blames are pointing to helen.
there are a lot of stories in literature that talk about a woman being the downfall of a man.
mylotters, what can you say about this?

well, she was the "cause" of war, if the countries were very apart, or didnt hold grudges against each other there would be no war, she was the one to set up the fire higher in the fireplace, just that

Hi,
That story is mere symbolic, and like every other of its kind, it is exposed to misinterpretation. I don't blame Helen for whatever happened out there. Of course, the fact that she gave in to extra marital affair can be treated as her mistake. But that is a mere mistake and nothing else. The person to be blamed here is the one who entirely lost his freaking mind on Helen. You know whom I am talking about? This is not just true about women. Nobody can harm us until we give him the right to. We in the moment of our weakness loose our foresight and do crazy things. Who can disrespect us if we don't choose to be disrespected? Similarly, we can't be unhappy if every moment we consciously choose to be happy. Orlando Bloom quite successfully demonstrated this weakness and vulnerability in this character. Thanks.
God bless you

is it snake's sin or eva's?
if eva want to eat that apple, she will do it no matter what the snake told her.
so, i think it is man's fault not woman's
