Does the rain makes you easier or harder to sleep?

How does the rain affects your sleep? Let's suppose you were in your bedroom and you are going to sleep and it's raining outside. You can hear the sound of the pouring rain. Does the rain serves as a noise for you that it will cause you to make a sleep harder? Or does the rain rather helps you to make a sleep easier? For me, I find it better and easier to fall asleep when it's raining outside, it can even make my sleep soundly and peacefully. How about you, how does the rain affects your sleep, does it makes you easier or harder to sleep?

Hi Vera,
I am happy to know that somebody here also loves the sound of the rain. i remember the song of the cascades...listen to the rhythm of the falling rain...so lovely right? as what i've said, it's a lullabye to me. no need for me to drink milk or tea to fall asleep.

hi,during summer we like to have a drizzling so that it cools the entire weather and the climate gets refreshed.The weather can give a good sleep .However if it is with thunders and storm we can t slleep that good and if there is a power cut then it would become hard to sleep.

i love the rain,,,it makes me wanna go to my bed and sleep all days... sadly i couldnt hear it pouring inside the house... except when i go out... i even enjoy watching the raindrops... gives me really calm feeling...:)

I love the sound of the rain too. Since I have sky lights, it's easier to hear the rain pouring on the roof of my house. I guess it's the repetitive sound of the rain that relaxes me. I also like to watch the weather. Rain relaxes me while snow gives me a similar soothing feeling. I like when snow covers the trees. It makes everything look beautiful. Don't you just love nature? Nature is such a precious thing. You have to appreciate it while you can.

i love the sound of the rain, pair it with jazz music and i'm golden. what i love better about it is how it just drives me under the comforter and you feel like you're in a cocoon and you don't have to wake up for a long time. i always find it easier to sleep when it's raining, also, you don't even have to turn on the air conditioning.

Oh, I haven't tried to mix a jazz music with rain, but I'm sure they will blend well together since you have testified it. Yah, the sound of the rain makes us feel comfortable to sleep. And the weather is just fine that you doesn't need to turn the aircon on. Thank you for your response.

It doesn't effect me.
I like when it rains as it sounds peaceful and I have no issues with it raining when I'm trying to sleep. I've been in caravans with metal roofs when It's been slinging it down and very windy and it really doesn't change anything as I still get to sleep. I wouldn't say it helps either, it's just normal when my head hits the pillow for me to sleep.

I can sleep easier and longer when it rains. The rain is often tranquil and peaceful unless it is acco,panied by a severe thunderstorm. The soft sounds of rain tapping on the rooftops can lull me to sleep aand put me in a dreamy state. The rain is a gift from heaven.

Yah, the rain can really makes us sleep longer and peaceful. It's really so relaxing to hear the sound of the rain and it will slowly makes you fall to sleep like hearing a lullaby. Yah, the rain is a gift from heaven that we should really appreciate and love. Thank you for your response.

Oh, yah when the rain is so strong or a storm already, it's a different situation. You might already feel worry and uncomfortable since too much strong can be destructive. But a normal rain will just really makes you feel sleepy. Thank you for your response.

I love listening to the rain, I find it very restful and I like going to sleep with the sound of rain on my bedroom window. If it is raining, it also means it is nice and cool, as I find it hardest to sleep when it is too hot.
When I was a child, my parents had a static caravan we used to go to on weekends. It was by the sea and when the rain fell, it made a lot of noise, but it was still relaxing.

I agree. The other night there was a thunderstorm. I usually sleep with my windows open but closed them as it really was quite loud. But with the windows closed I found the noise of the rain quite soothing and had the best nights sleep that I have had in months!

I love rain sound so whenever rains come in night and I am about to sleep then I first like to see the falling raindrops and enjoy that ,then I slept .The rainfall drops sounds like a sleeping song for me and it gives the pleasent feeling as well as cool cool feeling and when rain falls on the soil a smell comes and I love that fragrance which also helps in sleeping.

Yah, that is what the sound of the rain really bring us. It's like a music that can make us wanting to sleep plus the aroma of the soil that also bring a calming effect. Rain really helps in making a sleep. Thank you for your response.

I love the sound of the rain on the windows, i used to live in a caravan when i was younger and the sound of the rain on the caravan roof used to relax me, it is a natural sound and i love it. it helps me to sleep, there is nothing better than being tucked up in your duvet nice and warm when it's raining outside.

I am much more interested to sleep when it rains. Some thing happens inside me, which makes me to relax when it starts raining. I love to sleep when it rain 'cause its is very cool outside and i just don't want myself to go out. So i enjoy sleeping when it rain.

When I was young, I always pray that it would rain every night since I like the cold and I like to sleep with the sound of the rain. For me, its music to my ears during bedtime. The bed is cold and the rain brings forth some melody that brings me into a great and relaxing sleep. Up until now, I love the sound of the rain as I go to bed.

The rain helps me to sleep better. Even when i see that it`s raining outside, i`m watching a little on the window to see others how they are running without umbrella or how they are walking so fast with an umbrella . I love to watch the rain, and it makes me feel so sleepy . I love to listen the sound of fire, but the one when wood it`s burning...

When it rains i feel like sleeping. The coolness of the air stimulates me to sleep because it reminds me of my bed with my pillows and blanket. The sound of the rain also is like lullaby to me that it makes me fall asleep easier. Actually most people feel lazy and like to sleep during a rainy day.

I Love the rain, since the temp around becomes coolers.. In our part of the country it hot here with Humid climate... I get good sleep when it is raining. We get good rains in this part of country and I dont get worried about the noise as I am in deep sleep during rains...
