i never thought of liking yogurts. one thing is i thought it's a food for kids. only for kids. second, back in my home country, it's not affordable at all. it is way above my budget for my family. when i worked abroad, i started to appreciate it. such a small amount of something to eat. but it keeps me going all through my job for 12 hours. if i have to skip meals because of work, at least i have the chance to drop by at my locker and quickly gulp a piece yogurt then i'm recharged.

a study from the university fo washington in seattle tested hunger, fullness, and calories eaten at the next meal on 16 men and 16 women who had a 200-calories snack, that snack was either: semisolid yogurt containing pieces of peach and eaten with a spoon, the same yogurt in drinkable form, a peach-flavored dairy beverage, peach juice, although those who had the yogurt snacks did not eat fewer calories at the next meal, both types of yogurt resulted in lower hunger ratings and higher fullness ratings than either of the other snacks...

i think this is a good way of losing weight then. it's worth a try i guess. since yogurt is not that expensive in my place now, i think i'll have to consider this way. i have always wanted to lose some kilos very badly. not to starve myself as i have gastritis. i sure have to try this. why not. thanks BART78

Did you know you could make yogurt at home? I make it and it´s not expensive at all. If you have money to buy milk, then you can start your yogurt making. I use home made yogust in many dishes, several salad dressings and many times I put more yogurt than mayonaise when the recipe calls for mayo, to lower calories.

To buy a small thing of yogurt around here its approimately 55 cents. To me thats not very expensive. I'm curious in america money how much yogurt costs where you live. I didnt realize that different countries could be much more expensive to buy yogurt. Yogurt is very healthy for you I agree! When my kids have the runs I give them yogurt and it helps firm up there stools and helps them get better faster. I cant give them yogurt every day though or even very often as it binds them up and then they cant go to the bathroom. My mom used to feed me yogurt when I was in 2nd grade and none of the teachers or my friends really knew what it was at that point so I guess it was something new. I really like yogurt. I cut up bananas and add them to my yogurt and its delicious.

in the philippines, it is really expensive. so when i came in africa, i found it's very affordable. so i took the chance to enjoy it. although, sometimes, i have a little bad feeling that i cannot give some to our daughter. lol. i wish she is with me enjoying this good chance. anyways, i let her eat yogurt there too.

i like yogurt, since it not a common food here in the philippines unlike other country who really eat yogurt regularly, the first time i saw it when i was having vacation in my cousin and she got married to a french guy, everyday the guy always eat yogurt and he asked me if i want some, i told him its looks yucky, he just laugh and insist to have some but i really did not take some. then another one was when i was with my bf his also a foreigner and he used to eat yogurt and thats the only time i taste it and its taste nice so right now i always have 1 everyday, its very expensive here but its alright, its also healthy, i want the one with strawberry flavor.
