Several times I come across posts by members here which are very personal. In fact, the posts sometimes are of very sensitive type and I just wonder if you guys have already spilled out everything about your life here. I do appreciate these people who are so trusting and so open regarding their personal lives, but are there things in your life that you would rather not talk about here? Personally, yes, there are certain issues in my life that I would rather keep and not share in here. It is not that I do not trust the members, but I just don't feel comfortable discussing highly personal stuff. How about you? Have you already shared everything about your life here? Or is there anything that you would rather not discuss here?

I posted something about my personal life before. Many people are helpful here in mylot. They help me a lot, I was enlightened by their words. I just ask for a good advice. I am asking for an advice but I am not posting all of the events in my life. I just share something. For example I want to know what are the pros and cons in that situation.

Yeah, you have a point there.

I agree. I think the reason why most people give away the details of their personal life is to get advice. I wouldn't say it's a bad thing. We are like one giant family here, so it's understandable. We help each other out. I haven't done this, but I have seen others who have and sometimes, I wish I could help even though i've never shared the same experience.

Hmmm...I like the idea of one giant family and being a part of it. Cheers!

I can relate to what you are saying. But sometimes I need someone to listen to my problems,I don't want to reveal my problems to my personal friends so I reveal my problems to all my mylot friends.Besides, they don't know me that much.

Okay. I see not much problem in those who share their stories, but personally, I am not up to 100% unloading of personal baggage.

Hi Cutie, I do share some of the personal stuffs at here, and I receive some good points from the members here, which I never think before. But I will rather keep some of the very personal stuffs to myself and figure it out myself. But If i really cannot figure it out, then I'll reveal part of it here, since most of them do not know who am i.

I sometimes share something personal here but not really everything. I just share a small part of my past experiences specially if other members are asking for an advice and I encountered the same situation. There's a lot about me that I have not shared yet with Mylot members.

hi cutie, well as far as i'm concerned,i sometimes share my life experiences here. but there are also things that i want to be kept private. whatever it is,it's all up to you. some of us are always sharing the most out of their lives here, some don't.it's just all up to the user whatever he/she likes to post. we all have freedom here to choose or post whatever or whoever we want to share our lives with.stay happy always.

yah i have already shared something about my life here in mylot but i have not yet shared something that is so personal. i would rather keep it in the closet than to broadcast it to everyone. and i think mylot would not accept those too much personal things to be posted here because there are i think minors who have accounts in mylot.

Yep, too personal stuff might hurt others who are sensitive to those matters.

Hi Cutie, I have also read some very private discussions here and at times I'm reminded to only believe half of what you read. My personal opinion is that some of the stuff you read here is just BS. I have shared some personal info, but nothing I believe that if someone who knew me in real life would go OMG, at least I don't think so. I'm not comfortable giving out deeply private information to people that I don't know anymore. Years ago I used to always say "my life is an open book, ask me anything?" People can get mean when they don't share the same beliefs, or life experiences, so I no longer recite that statement. It’s a personal decision for each person to make here, how much do I want to share? Good luck to you here, and Happy Mylotting!!!

I have not try it yet and sometimes i make a discussion like it is concerning a friend or other people lives. It is a topic not about me and just surprise other think it is me when they fail to read the whole discussion. Some reply and concludes thinking it me who are involves. So you could really know the one who read and the one who just read the title of the discussion without understanding the whole topic. Beside i have know friends here personally so it is not just my types to divulges some secret and prefer still to retain my privacy:)

I consider myself a pretty open person, but even I don't spill "everything" about my life - even if I remain anonymous. Stuff like bedroom secrets - nahhhhh, I don't need to share it or get anyone's opinion on - that's a little too personal for my taste. I don't jump into religious or political discussions either . . . it's too touchy - not just to me but for others who may not agree with my views. Otherwise, sure, I'll share most other experiences with fellow myLotters.

I haven't discuss everything in my life here in MyLot. I agree with you that there are things that are meant to be known only by us. But its really up to the person. If he/she wants to share everything then go on. Its his/her life after all.

Maybe the guys you referred to take mylot as a diary to their daily life, they have fun here, involve in discussions and try to help others and also ask for help too.Anyway, mylot is a virtual world and can resolve some problems which may be somehow hard to say in the real world.I won't show my very personal things here but I have no ideas about those who will.

Honestly speaking, i haven't shared yet of the most personal stuff in my life here, why? coz i am only new here and i am still trying to adapt what of this website is all about. Second, there is nothing wrong if i can share on whatever personal stuff on this kind of discussion on this site beside i didn't know exactly of all the members here second i need an opinion sometimes. as i am looking that could also be helpful in time though the decision is still mine, whatever it is.

I am also not comfortable in sharing personal matters or problems. And as of my belief most of the people aren't that comfortable in sharing their personal matters. But sharing helps in relieving stress. I can also remember of a site where we can post our personal feelings without revealing our personal details or identity. This is much of our personal preference and depends on our nature and society.
