We have a 7-year-old kid in the house who uses my FB account when she wants to use some stuff in the games section. I let her do that so she knows my login details and uses my FB account anytime. Do you think that's okay? How about you? Is there anyone else using your FB account? I also know of some people who freely share their FB login details with members of the family. Do you do the same thing? Why?

I don't have any secrets with regards my FB account. So, I just leave it logged in whenever I turn on the computer or off. Further, each one of us at home (the 'children') have our own personal computers each. So, we usually just keep it logged in. Further, we have a room at home where all the computers at setup (looking like an internet-cafe really ) so sometimes when I'm out and about the other rooms and my brother tells me that someone sent me a message or wants to chat with me on FB or some other messenger, I just tell him what to reply like: She's out of the room and would just talk to you later. I think it's a good thing to not be over serious about some stuff. I don't even mind if they use my pc with all it's files there because I don't have 'private' stuff. For all we know, my brothers might be helping me earn more in mylot by posting topics or reacting to them using my login details because I 'keep it online' and they know I earn for posting here. Plus, my brothers are okay and cool. We don't really go mess around each others' computers - It's just not fun for us that way. Perhaps it's what you call 'respect'.

It is only my sister and I who only have Facebook accounts in the family. We don't share our accounts, and we don't know each other's passwords, although we really wouldn't mess up or do anything with each other's accounts. It's just a matter of privacy. Besides I wouldn't have anything to do with her account since she has her own set of friends that she gets in contacts with and I have my own. There's really no point for us to share our accounts.

I don't see a problem with it if you're supervising her time on Facebook. I don't think she should be able to just roam around freely on your account. It would also depend on what your friends post because sometimes other people post things that are inappropriate. Just be careful and she'll be fine.

Nope, they have their own account plus they are so addicted to other games just to send more gifts they even created many dummy accounts. Like my sister so addicted in playing yoville and even pay yocash just to buy the new limited house promo. In my case i would not dare to spend even a cent just playing games. So I just enjoy it and take it as my boredom buster and would never attempt to spent money. Even though I have no secret in my facebook account and still like to maintain my privacy.

First and foremost, I believe social networking sites are NOT the best place for ANY children under the age of 18 to be and it really irritates me to no end to hear that parents could even assume it's an okay place ... even if just for the games ... That's just my own opinion. As far as allowing anyone to use my Facebook account? Absolutely not! Nobody but me has access to my account. The less people that have my password the less of a chance that my password, account information, etc. soars through the grapevine.

I have had viruses and identity theft so many times that I'm a little anal about my privacy settings on FB and everywhere else. I do not let anyone else use my Facebook and do NOT under any circumstances share my passwords with anyone other than my immediate family. My daughter is 16 so she's a little more mature than yours. I would not allow her to be on FB unsupervised as anyone can pop up a chat on her at any time and then they can find out stuff that may be misused. I would wait till she was at least 14 to allow her unsupervised on FB and then only after she has proven herself trustworthy in that venue. I've seen too many reports about sickos using the internet to stalk their prey. I am a single mother of an only child who was born late in life so she is uberly-precious to me and I take no chances with her safety. :)

I do that too with my 10 year old son, he even opened an account for me in farmville because he wants me to be giving gifts and visit his farm. And he enjoys so much opening his gifts and was so proud to tell his playmates that he always receive a gift.

I too have no secrets I don' want let out of a bag. However if that were the case then naturally I would not be so carefree. However, it is my personal opinion that a 7 year old should not be allowed on FB. There are so many nutty people on there exposing our children to so many indecent matters. FB is almost becoming like Craig's list and well there is so much "Junk" on their that no young child should be on there. I would imagine that if a child wants to play games there are so many play sushi and gamevance they could play and again for free. You will find that those game are exactly the FB friends. If the choice is to allow a child to play games on FB, as with all internet activities that the child is well monitored. We can trust our children implicitly, but can we trust the other person behind the screen? That is the real question.

Facebook account is different from bank joint account, fb account should be confidential but bank joint account may not. Reason been that a lot of people/friends view your profile and they may deside sending you a message unaware, example; love messages but if not sharing the acc. u may delete it immediately. If sharing the acc. and another person view the message b4 you, someone like your husband/wife, such mess. can destroy the union or to corrupt the youngs once that view it. It better to keep it private.

My mother uses my sister's FB account to track all of her friends who had gone abroad. It really annoys me sometimes.

My boyfriend knows my Facebook details, because until know he still doesn't have his own account, because he tells me he won't need it, but he keeps on using my account to be updated on our friends' lives and to play poker. Hehehe. He is just so hard headed and full of pride, I think it would hurt his ego if he creates his own account in FB. LOL.

Nope. I don't want to share my account to anyone. Who knows what will they do to it. Even though they're my relatives that do not stop them from doing some prank. They can always create 1 for themselves. Faebook won't know if you are of legal age or not.

I don't care if people use my FB as long as they don't mess around with it. I let my little cousin use my FB to play Petville because she wanted to make her own animal. Usually no one else uses my FB account.

No. I'm not hiding anything but we respect each other's privacy. We have our own accounts and we don't meddle with each other's account, and they know not to meddle with any of my stuff (online or not) because I'm a very private person.

My boyfriend knows my login info, but our family doesn't let young ones use computer because they're afraid that they'll get hook with using it. But I guess its okey to let child play but first limit him, because once he got addicted, it would take time to take it away from him.
