Hi Bart,
Did you try this pro-slim coffee? i haven't seen or try any. Well, i think i need to look for this in the grocery later this afternoon and see if it really works. due to my reflux, i was advise not to have coffee anymore but i can't help it. from 4-5 cups before, now i treat myself with at least one cup a day.

hi msfrancisco, yup! i'm using San Mig Coffee Pro-Slim with 200mg L-Carnitine before my workout in the gym, before i don't usually drink coffee but lately i learned that having coffee or any caffeine before weight training or cardio-exercise triggers the muscles to start using fat as an energy source rather than reserve glycogen in your body (carbohydrates/sugar) which is favorable for me cause i'm minimizing my body fat percentage while retaining my muscle mass, so when i saw this product it gives me added bonus to my physique goal, and we all know the healthy benefits of L-Carnitine such as:
+assist in the transport of long-chained fatty acids that are burned for energy.
+enhance the consumption of fat as source of fuel.
+increase amount of fat you burn during both anaerobic and aerobic workouts.
+it helps remove fats waste product from the blood stream.
+effectively helps to dicourage fatty build up in the liver, heart, muscles.
...i wish i can drink with you a cup of this coffee and share with you knowledge how to get fit and healthy..have a nice day!

It makes you metabolism faster, I think, but I think it does that in general and not just when you work out. So if you drink coffee, you will have a fast metabolism, but there are no specific times when you should drink it. So if you like coffee, just drink it whenever you feel like it!

Yes, drinking a cup of coffee with a lot of sugar will surely energize your body especially during workouts. Sugar is the main thing in coffee that gives you that extra energy. Try drinking coffee with less sugar, I think you won't be energized that much.
Just a thought.

Hmmm... Coffee before workout... Hmmm... Perhaps it does because coffee perks you up, don't it?
But, I just can't tolerate coffee, yes it gives me the energy but I suffer from it after a few hours when I would like to sleep but the caffeine just won't let me. This even happens even if I had coffee in the morning and when I need to sleep at night, I just can't!
Further, there is a Brazilian coffee going around these days in our area claiming that they help boost energy at the same time help drinkers lose weight. I just don't know. I think I would lose weight from no sleep rather than the coffee itself.

Hi Brylle,
If that is the case then i will bear the pain of my reflux. i will continue to drink coffe for that additional benefit. coffee keeps me up and its already part of my daily life. life is not complete without it. pssssst....don't tell my doctor about this okay!
