I'm in a really dire financial situation at the moment and need to make some money, I enjoy Mylot but it doesn't pay enough to really give me that much back. I need to find a site that pays you a decent amount of money to write articles, but I don't want to pay a start up cost unless it's low and the site is really worth it. Can anyone recommend any sites?

My favorite PTW site is Triond and please PM if you want my referral link. It doesn't pay a lot, but if you have PayPay the minimum payout is only 50 cents and just about anyone can reach that. It is profit sharing, so what you earn depends on the exposure your articles get, but unlike myLot the income is residual. So you don't have to keep writing articles every month to earn a little. I haven't written anything there since April, but I did get $4.40 in my PayPal account in June and $2.85 in May, etc. Not a lot but better than nothing for doing nothing. Plus they are now paying commissions on what your referrals write.

Ok send me your referral link Drannhh and I'll try it out, do they let you post content you've posted elsewhere? No biggie if they don't as I can always reword my articles, I'm in the process of doing it now for A Squidoo lens.

Done, Nancy, and eurekafemme, that is a good question. I think it might differ from country to country. I have heard that some people who live in places where they don't have PayPal can save their earnings up until they get $50 and then get some other form of payment, but that is just hearsay. Here is their help page: http://www.triond.com/help
Good luck ;-)

Hi. I am a member of Triond, too. But, I am just new. Fortunately , I was able to reach the payout of .52 of which Triond sent me even without me requesting for it.But I wonder if I can have my earnings there accumulated to a certain bigger amount before withdrawing it. I hope you can help me.:-) Thanks.:-)

Hello Nancy. I see the responses from fellow-mylotters have given you excellent suggestions. The programs they mentioned are indeed excellent ones, depending on your interests of course. I might just mention one program, if you would be interested in writing reviews. The site is "Review Stream". There you can write brief reviews about a variety of things, things you come across in your day-to-day activities, shopping, movies, hotels, restaurants, websites, and so on. You get paid for the reviews, not a huge amount, but still worth it.

If you're an inexperienced writer with no articles published already, you won't find a site that will pay you too much money in the beginning.
If you're from the USA you can try Textbrokers. They are a good site to start out at and build your way up. They take on new people and will give you a small assignment first to see how well you write and your grammar capabilities.
Then they will rate you on that article. Their rating system starts at 2 and goes up to 5 which are professional writers.
The 3 in the middle will pay you $.01 per word, so if you have a 500 word assignment, you will get paid $5.00 if you are rated at a 3. Below that you make slightly less, and above 3 you will make more. Good luck!

I'm not from the USA sadly, I have had some articles published on a site called Bukisa but only just so they haven't been rated yet or had much attention. Thanks for the suggestion anyway, I know it's going to be tough to find places.

Well you can try freelancing sites such as Freelancer.com, Guru.com and Odesk.com. The first time I tried writing for buyers for Freelancer.com the rates were a bit lower than I expected. But after a few months of finding the right long term writing projects I actually got me a nice rate upgrade.
Residual income from your personal writings can come from Bukisa, Helium, Triond and Factoidz. Factoidz has the highest rate for page views but Helium's marketplace if you have earned your star can be quite rewarding.
I've only discovered online writing a few months ago so I'm no expert yet. But this might help a fellow International writer. Oh check my blog for writing stuff and my experiences.

I'll check out some of those sites, I've just joined Bukisa and haven't made anything yet but it will take time I'm sure.

Yep they are residual earnings so you can be sure to wait a while before you feel it trickling down your pocket. BUt what's good about it is that you can earn from your articles even after a few months.
Per article rates sometimes don't give you the right to keep your articles under your name because most probably you would be ghostwriting.

U can really use mylot to earn lot of money . Frequently check the "Tasks" tab frequently and you can find many tasks by "Sharonbucks" that pays you really well . I have not done many of them but my friends earn in hundreds just by doing those tasks .
Also you can try sites like Bukisa , Triond , Squidoo and Webupon to write any original article and spread it to the world . In Bukisa , for every 3000 views you get $10 . It is similar in the other sites . You can spread it by linking your article in your E-Mail signatures and by putting it in Facebook and Twitter .
Similarly you can also try GTP sites . There are many legit GTPs that pay really well . And if you have patience and many friends , you can join Neobux and refer many of your friends to it and earn a lot .
HAPPY EARNING

Have you ckecked Ciao.com or Ciao.co.uk for people in the UK. I have been a member with them for quite some time and they pay you for writing reviews on products. Other members then read and rate the reviews and you get paid when this happens.
Good luck with your search. _Derek

I have been with Ciao (UK site) for quite some time and have been paid several times. You have to set up your bank details and go to your account page and request payment. With Ciao UK they pay with a mininum of £5. It does take a while for them to process it, but it does come through. _Derek

it was a long back i had been reading and discussing about the online earning sites but i still remember reviewstream is a good one but strictly only the original content should be written they first see your writing skill and then accept the reviews from you and if your usually writing for electronic goods you get a good fair money but if you are reviewing a small things may be a household or daily used product you get paid less but still it is nice you can try this and also ciao is an another reviewing site you can also try this and ofcourse mylot is the good one.

does that include content you've written but has already been posted somewhere else? As I have a number of book reviews on my blog already. I could always reword them though.

no you cannot copy the same and write it here again and they will just delete your account and you cant write reviews again so you have to write only the fresh reviews.

You can try triond. The site is a good place to start to monetize your articles. There are also a lot of available interests and topics you can write about in that site. I have tried Triond and it pays. The minimum payout in that site is 1$. You can also try to apply as a writer in Bright Hub or in academai research. If you have the talent in writing you can definitely earn a living through that sites.

Hello, Nancyrowina. I write for Helium, and it's the only site I bother with now. I earn over $200 every month, writing 60 - 100 asrticles a month. I am a 5 starred writer, so I get upfront payments for titles with less than 5 articles. It takes a while to understand how Helium works, so you can make the most of the site, but it's worth it.

Sounds good but I don't know if I could find the inspiration to write that many articles in a month. But if I can start making money out of some of the other writing sites I shouldn't need to.

Well, I joined Helium.com yesterday after reading a review about it on Ciao, where the writer said he was making quite a bit of money from writing articles for Helium. I can't say yet if it will work for you or me, but it should at least be worth a look. We need to make more money too!
I use Dooyoo, Ciao plus survey sites like Global Test Market, Opinion World, Valued Opinions, Pinecone Research, Maximiles, Archerfish, YouGov, etc. Maybe you can find some of those and join up? Good Luck!!

Youi can try squidoo, triond and shvoong. But I think shvoong is for Malaysians only. Try to ask Big G about that. Squidoo and Triond are on the top of the paid-to-write legitimate sites.

Hi Nancy !
Sorry to hear about your situation. I am very sure that you will cross this situation successfully. I am a newbie, but try this.
I am sorry it is not about articles, but hope it would help out a dollar to you.
Neobux.com - you can earn if you have a good number of active referrals.
