Well I thought the same as Zralte above... All I see now is a blue star. And that's sufficient. Don't think much about it. And as you know, it depends upon other members, so it's up to you if you resort to begging! Just kidding

Hello again allknowing, I would think that if you are seeing people with ratings of 100/100 they must have recently received their stars, I don't think that you can be here for a length of time and keep that rating, at some point you rub someone the wrong way and your going to get negative ratings. (Before anyone comes and tells me that isn't how you use the rating system, I'm completely aware of what NOT to do.) I could be completely wrong. They only one that I remember seeing is GoAskAlice and I don't think anyone is going to mark her negative, and bump her perfect 100/100. Last I saw she had over 500 posts. As always just my 2 cents worth!!!

I haven't yet got an rating(star-if I got it right). I think we get it at when we reach 100th mark after our name as I have seem users having star just above and not having it just below it. But I have no idea of its working and meaning. Let me see, when I am able to get it. But its good to have a star with our name having a nice color and number.

What is the basis of myLot when it comes to ratings?

Nobody is perfect, or at least nobody can be perfect in EVERYONE's estimation. I'm sure that every one of us has said something at one time or another which displeased someone who then used the discussion rating system to register their disapproval. Those with a 'perfect' 100% rating are simply those who haven't yet suffered the 'slings and arrows of outrageous fortune'! I pay very little attention to my rating. I have had a red '9' star for several years now and I'm sure that it has more to do with the fact that I'm occasionally frank and outspoken than with any lack of quality in my responses!

hello allknowing,it is not our duty to know how mylot does the ratings,yeah it says that all users here can have freedom to choose to rate one's post in anyway they can.don't be sad if your rate doesn't get higher that fast,we all have the same situations here,i guess. no ones knows if who is rating you positively or negatively. just do your best shot and you might be surprised to know that you are already there! i myself am surprised when i already had 95 rating... very happy to know that it is increasing,i guess it's better not to mind these everyday...
