Have you been locked out of your house?

A few years back I went to a party and when I got home, I just couldn't find my keys. I probably just forgot to bring it. I tried calling, buzzing, knocking but to no avail. My dogs didn't even bark. haha... So, my friend climbed up the wall and into the gate. She's good! haha... Anyway, we got it but the problem now was the main door. ;)

I get locked ut most of times, i always tend to forgot the house key, so i made a number of duplicate keys, everybody now has their own keys so i would not be waiting for the next person to arrive so i can get it. I have one attached to my motorcycle keys, but sometimes i even forget to bring my motorcycle key, So, i have secretly hidden one key in the garden plants just beside our main door. ssshh ok.

Hi mr fdg: When I was younger this was a big problem. I always forgot my keys but there's always someone who opens me the door. Since that moment one of the things that I ask myself before going to another place is Do I have the keys with me? i think I have not forgoten my keys since for a while. Thanks for your answer. Have a nice day.

Hi santos mari chris: Thanks God I have never passed through a situation like this but my brother yes. He likes to party so in some occassions he has forgoten the keys and he arrives at home when everybody is sleeping. This is not funny at all because he make calls to our cell phones until someone wake up and open the door. Thanks for asking me this question. Have a nice day.

This happened to me a few years back. I closed the front door behind me only to realize that I didn't have my keys. I tried all the windows but they were securely locked. In the end the only way I could get back in was to break the door frame where the lock was fixed and then patch it up with a piece of wood afterwards.
A year or so later we had double glazing fitting and the new door could not be locked without the key, so it meant that I could never lock myself out again. Which is fortunate because the new door could not be broken because inside it was solid steal. _Derek

Yes, I have. I was locked out because no one was home. I didn't have the keys and my cellphone because I forgot to bring it so i just climbed up the gate then tried to reach the door knob from the outside using a very long stick. I guess, I tried to open the door for about 2 hours. then about 30 minutes after, my parents arrived.

O yeah I have... only once though... I left to take my son to school one morning and walked to the car, and realised that I did not have my car keys... this was bad news because my car keys and house keys are all on the same fob. So I had to walk round the back of my house where the bathroom window was open, and lift my son up to get him through the window, he then opened the door and I got my keys lol... i make sure my keys are in one place and one place only now then I remember to take them lol

I have the same problem. I though I brought my keys with me but when I got home that night I realize I left it in my bed. So I wait for about 3 hours for my house mate! Good thing my DSi is fully charged so I was able to do something just to kill time.

well i have experienced that also hen i am younger. of course going home late and so my parents locked me out! hehe good thing is that we just have a small house and when you knock hard for sure anyone inside will hear me...but the problem is if they don't want to open the door for you to give you a lesson! hehe but i also have a solution, coz there's a secret way of opening our door!

lol..Oh yes, and more than once. I was locked out of the house when I was in high school as a teenager. A friend helped me break into my bedroom window. We later laughed about it, but when it was happening it wasn't so much fun! I have been locked out a couple times since then, but now I know how to break into my own family home.

Well, I've been locked outside for several times :) It's awful when it's about +5-6 degrees outside! But it's funny, anyway! Last time was just about 2 weeks ago. I was trying to call my brother because the door was closed and nobody's answering. I was staying there about half an hour.

Many times. I often went to my father's workplace and got his, went back home, opened the door and then returned my father's key back.
The worst time is once my family went out together without one key in our pocket. But fortunately there was a backup in my grandma's home. We went there and got the key.
My dear grandma passed away last year...

I have a really good friend that has a spare key for my house, so even if i was to lock myself out, i would still be able to get in.I feel that there have been times in the past that i have nearly locked myself out, that was when i decided to give my friend a key.I also have a friends key, just incase she locks herself out. There is no way that i would fit through a window or get up a ladder.
