After the conclusion of the first ever Pilipinas Get Talent as Jovit Baldivino bagged the grand prize singing the band's "Too Much Love Can Kill You", i cannot think of a possibility that the "Queen" will be back in the music scene again, just like the band "Journey" with Arnel Pineda, also a Filipino. If Journey has a Filipino lead vocalist in the person of Arnel Pineda, we won't be surprised one day, the Queen is back with Jovit Baldivino. See the youtube clip of the final performance of Jovit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSeLJVVz3_Y

Hello Neildc, COngratulations to him, i hope foreign band members would take interest in him just like the journey took interest of Arnel Pineda.thanks to this kind of programs you see great talents in the streets and not those affiliated with other celebrities, frankly speaking the ordinary Filipinos had more talent than those with network or celebrity affiliations i hope more would rise to the occassion like this guy.

i am not telling that if Arnel made his own Journey, Jovit will also make it to replace Freddie. but who knows, why not?

You may not say it directly but people would think that's what you mean since the title of this discussion is Queen revive and you mention arnel pineda being in journey and jovit winning the Pilipinas got talent, as we all know, by singing a song by Queen.

Looks like Jovit is really some kind of a discovery of a new start on the rise. I hope that he could be tapped like Charice and other Pinoy talents that have become famous after they were tapped in by foreign talent scouts.

Yeah I guess there are just many talents that are untapped around and this program somehow has tapped only one. I can see that there are many talents that were left there but one emerged to be the best. I can see from the audience that they cheer louder for Jovit so I was kind of expecting him to be the winner there.

CHarice Pempengco, Arnel Pineda and Now Jovit here are true blooded Filipinos, you see they don't need to have this meztisa look to be good in singing. they should continue with his performance. i am happy for these people that they give honor into our country by singing and dancing. mabuhay to them!

Never in my entire love I watched Pilipinas Got Talent that is why I don't know him. Filipinos are very talented, you will not have to be shocked if the band Queen will get him to be their lead vocalist. I also eyeing Adam Lambert to be the new front man of Queen as he also has the similar talent of Freddie Mercury. No matter what the future of Queen , either Filipino or American, Queen will always lives on through their music.

Yes mate you are right with your point of view. We might no longer amazed it that will happen soon in the history of music with regards to our local singers because they can compete with foreign singers nowadays. Jovit must need to change some of his style in singing to fit with foreign taste in the music scene because as you can saw him he is not more confident with his action or gestures. It seems he need a music teacher to do it. Hope abs-cbn will make him better so we can promote him all over the world.

Nothing against Jovit but I really doubt that Queen will be taking on a new singer. Every one knows that Queen is no longer Queen with out Freddy Mercury. That no one can take his place and that for any one to even try is an insult to the group. Maybe he could start a Queen tribute band rather than Queen reviving itself. Not to mention I don't think I would be happy either. Freddy Mercury was an amazing man and no one can take his place.

we are not actually forcing the band to reunite and revive with a new frontman, since Freddy, i agree, is one and only. the Queen is Queen and Queen is nothing without Freddy. but we should not forget some groups that still making it to the top when they change members.

I noticed that my country men's singers are being attached to old time favorite bands, except for charice but if that happens where is the sense of talent if just replaces by a new singer. we don't know that autumn. frankly, it's the trend, but i am not sure about the queen band.

I was able to see Jovit and all the other finalists' performance on TV during the Grand Finals of Pilipinas Got Talent and there is no doubt that there's no other person/group more deserving than he is. The show is about talent and Jovit shared to us his God-given talent in singing .. and singing as good as Queen. Hopefully he'll record albums and gain popularity like that of Charice and Arnel Pineda. More power to him and congratulations as well. Mabuhay Filipinos.

we would be more proud to see Jovit singing with the Queen's former band members. just like Arnel giving new life to the Journey. Proud to be Pinoy.

Hey neildc! Wow! This Jovit is really talented! He has an incredible voice for sure! His range and his style is definitely going to get him far. I really enjoyed listening to him and I listened to him a few times because that's how much I liked him! And as for Arnel Pineda, I think he's incredibly talented and adorably handsome too, and my friends agree! Philipinas do have talent! Glad their joining with America and Britain!

thanks Opal watching and liking the filipino talents. and we really have to thank the originators/creators of these great talent searches and for our station/network producers that they bring the shows like Got Talent, Idol, etc. in the country. i really hope Jovit will succeed internationally so we have one more talent to be proud of.

Hi Neil, Let's toast for JB's victory. I am a fan from the moment he auditioned to Pinoy Got Talent. I will not be surprised if he will become the next Arnel Pineda this time for "Queen". Maybe next month he will also be guesting in Ellen de Generes Show and be part of Oprah Winfrey's Farewell Show this year.

just like you, i became a fan of Jovit at the moment i saw him in the audition singing "Faithfully" which happens to be my favorite song in karaoke bars. it will be a great achievement again not only for Jovit if Queen will live again with the frontman Jovit.

That's what we were discussing a while ago since his performance in the Final's night is really really good. And it will be very amazing if the remaining Queen members will be interested in him to be their frontman. He will be another Philippine pride if he will get on the international scene.

Arnel Pineda does sounds like Steve Perry of the Journey, But Jovit Baldivino is not likely a Freddie Mercury. I do believe Jovit have a voice of a rock star, and he sung "Too much love will kill you" beautifully, but he not that good as the Queen lead vocal Freddie Mercury. He should choose his own song, now that he had won the contest.

i agree with you. he should choose his own songs. and i believe, the network have ready plans for his career. well, about the band, i just thought about it, and no one will ever reach the kind of singing Freddie did when Queen is still active.

There is no doubt that Jovit Baldivino will be part of that group. His talent is really amazing and he has a God's given talent. I am really happy that he won in that pilipinas got talent he deserved it. Hoping for more from him, hope he will used his talent for the greater of his family.

i know that. only that i cannot help to see and comment about Jovit's performance and looking at the Journey's side, Arnel gave a better life for the group. so i thought, if the Queen band members could see how Jovit rendered their song perfectly, they might think of reviving the legendary band. why not?
