What is your favorite canned food?

I don’t eat too many canned foods but I would have to say tuna in oil would be my favourite. It can be eaten by itself, in a sandwich or added to a recipe I think it’s delicious and good for you too except for the oil, I do prefer it than in brine although the oil is probably not the best for the diet!

mine would have to be tuna and there's this new thing called corned tuna which we love to use for canapes. my mother makes really great wrapped lady finger chilis stuffed with tuna and cheese and she's tried making tuna samosa which was really yummy. tuna's really good for the body too so i like eating it 'cuz i know i'm getting all the omega 3 my body needs and tuna's been proven to delay the onset of alzheimers.

I love sandwich with spread made out of canned tuna but with a lot of finely chapped celery and sweet pickled cucumber. My second best choice is of course the favorite of most myLotters - corned beef whether imported or locally (Philippines)made. I take this together with buns and a glass of soda or cola.

hi aileen, I also love corned beef! But my favorite canned food would be spam. ....Garlic Flavor! LOL. I don't know but I like it so much. It is yummy and delicious.

Well I certainly love corned beef but I think that the canned food I use the most has ti be canned tomatoes. I use them so much in all my cooking - especially Italian. Have yu made corned beef rissoles? My hubby loves them - you just mix corned beef with a little fried onion and mashed potatoes and make it into patties, dip in flour and fry. Easy and delicious!!

Corned beef and Spam! However, between the two, I'd rather choose Spam.

mine will be the soup... i love to drink canned soup a lot... the creamy chicken and mushroom also creamy chicken and corn ones... they are just delicious... i used to like eating canned corned beef and luncheon meat in the past... but not anymore as i try to live more healthily now and avoid canned food... take care and have a nice day...

that would be sardines saute in onions..they are yummy in breakfast especially if you have gone tired eating lots of meat.. second is luncheon meat, spam and ma-ling are so tasty... then corned beef (only if it is a Target brand) and meatloaf...fried with beaten eggs..

Hi. aileen2008. I like to eat, pork and beans that has hot dogs in in. And I also like the canned good that has tamales in it. It is so yummy and it is mixed with beef inside of it too. I have never been a huge fan of corned beef at all. I think that I have tried it and I did not like it too much. Maybe, I will have to try it again to see if I will like it this time around. I am glad that you like it though.

When we are thinking about canned food there is only one type that I can really think of and enjoy and that is Heinz Baked Beans! I get through quite a few tins each week I have to admit but I know that they are good for you and are full of fibre! I'm not too keen on canned corn beef, I've tasted this in the past and I didn't like it at all! I generally have baked beans on toast for lunch and then I will have a proper cooked meal in the evening which usually consists of meat or fish and some potatoes with vegetables. I like to think that I try and eat healthy when I can although it can be quite expensive. There is perhaps one other food that I can think of that comes in a can and that is tinned sweetcorn! I love sweetcorn almost as much as I like baked beans! Anyway, I don't bother with anything else that comes in tins! Andrew

hey, we're birds of the same feather . but of course, there are brands of corned beef that is superior above all the others. many of them are expensive but there's one reasonably priced and tastes just as good. many canned tunas and sardines are also up my alley. lately i've been meaning to buy canned crab meat but still am thinking twice about it. it's quite expensive and i think it would all be gone in one sitting .

My most favorite canned food would be tuna. I also like canned stewed tomatoes. Canned tomatoes of all kinds are probably my most used canned food in recipes.

I think that pork and beans would have to be my favorite canned food item. I have never been much for spam or ravioli. We all have to have our likes and dislike when it comes to canned treats.

Definately tuna from a can! I would eat it all the time if I could, but now people keep telling me these horror stories regarding how cruel the fishermen are to the tuna and also other animals in the sea, such as dolphins, when they fish them, so I feel bad eating tuna with other people who always, always start talking about that!

I usually do not buy a lot of canned foods. Except tuna fish. So i will have to say that is my favorite canned food.

It used to be Pork & Beans, but now I don't eat that so much. My new favorite canned food will have to be the Ma-Ling. I can eat it without having to fry it, cubed. Or sliced and fried is okay too. I like it with rice and cheese, on sandwiches, with pancit canton, or just alone. :)

Like you, I like corned beef. I even posted a discussion here how to cook corned beef the best way. However, as long as it is corned beef anything goes. I just hate it when it is too salty that's why I'm trying all brands of corned beef available here in our country. I also put corned beef as substitute to ground beef for spaghetti. Next to that is corned tuna or just tuna, fave is century tuna.I can eat it every day but not every meal, of course.:-) If I am too lazy to cook, then, canned tuna is the best alternative for me.;-)

I love corned beef and spanm before but not anymore now. I am crazy in love now with chili corned tuna. i love it plain and with mixed vegetable. i also put addtional jalapeno to make it more hot, black pepper and lemon. yummy!

I really love canned corn and canned pork. I know the canned pork looks really gross when you first open it, but when you heat it up on the stove and add barbecue sauce to it, it is incredible! I love how sweet canned corn is and I always forget how much I like it until I open a can to go with dinner.

Chicken Under the Sea is best. I love cooking it w/ different kinds of veggies. ;)
