With the advance of computing technology, our living getting more convenient and easier than before. We can access our bank account at home without going to the bank or call the tellers. Although this advance really suitable for us right now, it has its defects. There were malicious applications claim to be making your online banking fast and secure; actually, once you download and load up those apps, they would take all your bank account information and purge it all. So, watch out online apps for your bank, unless you know exactly they are perfect safe to use.

Do not just download any apps from anywhere. Make sure that the company who produced the app is known and registered; that the bank is licensed to use the app; that you downloaded the app from a secure website.

I think you have to be very careful with ANYTHING to do with your bank these days if I'm honest. You have to beware with logging on to online banking in unsecure networks, have to be careful your not giving your card details to unreliable sources...once someone sets up a "subscription" from your bank (i.e. a monthly card payment of say £40), it can be impossible to cancel...as the bank say you have to go to the company or they won't do anything, but if the company isn't legit you'll never find them and they'll continue to get £40 from your bank every month, even cancelling your card may not do anything...as a card payment is seen as an agreement and will 99.9% go out even after a card is cancelled (according to a customer service rep at my own bank!).
I myself have had money stolen from my bank a couple of times, and it feels horrible. I do alot of shopping online espeically for gifts and clothes so it can be hard knowing who you can trust. As for adding something to your computer to make your online banking "faster" unless it comes FROM YOUR BANK and you can be 100% it is from your bank (ALWAYS PHONE THE BANK AND MAKE SURE FIRST) then do not download it...it is more than likley a scam.

My mind is on the thieves. Why do they do that? I mean, it's evil, so only people who are truly evil can do that.

Safety measures should be taken in every field in life and every thing can be used for good reason and also for ill reasons. We should be making sure that at the place or site we are entering our personal or financial information should be trusted one. If you are downloading softwares from a third party and using it for online transactions then you should first confirm the identity of the third party with your financial institution to be sure that your info will be safe.

Oh, with the advancement in the technology we have both the good and the bad effects. I guess most of the banks have verified the domain and my bank asks me enter the information only after seeing the blue button(indicating that it is a verified domain) to enter the secure information. Always i am afraid to use the secured information, because we often surf through the net and get infected by the malwares or spywares. Since we are lazy, we usually check our transactions online.
