I'm using Avira free antivirus and it's fine but I'm not sure who's the best anti virus today.

in my belief there is no best anti-virus.. all has it's own vulnerabilities. I use deep freeze instead, to protect my system.

I use Faronics deep freeze, its not an antiviurs but it lets me surf freely without limits and scare of downloading a virus or malware.

I checked sandboxie they are quite similar except in Faronics deep freeze you can enable/disable feature at a time. depending on your preference. And Deep freeze take care of the computer as a whole, and everything come back to the original state where you program your computer. so every malware /virus/ and even software are automatically deleted upon reboot/restart.

try with Avira. I use and reccomend it,if you want to be safe install also a firewall (forget Windows Firewall,it's useless). When i have to scan an HDD full of viruses,i use the combination Avast/Antivir/Avg.

I would suggest McAfee 2010 it looks good, simple, effective and it removes all the virus with out any hassle but however as other said it is up to you to decide which suites better for you :)

Use Kaspersky Internet Security 2010, it is not freeware but I think one of the best antivirus and Internet security. It is providing security against Phishing URLs, malwares, spywares, keylogging activities...etc..

the best antivirus program you can ever use is the one that you're comfortable using, not too much of a memory hog, and the one that does it's job. after all, no antivirus program that can protect you 100% of the time. sooner or later, your computer will still get infected. for me, I'm using Avira. Not the best there is but I prefer it over many others.

I use McAffee... not because it's particularly amazing... but just because it's easy to use and doesn't give me too much of a hard time. As mentioned above, it's whichever programme you get on with best! :)

I also use the Avira program. I never had any problems with viruses at all since I started using Avira. I highly recommend it.
