Who has tried doing a search on Google using their real name.

I just did in response to your discussion, How is it possible for the internet to know what i have been doing, it appears like a log book of me and my activities.

Good one, I had searched earlier and found some doctor, actor, politician and businessman with lot of money but I am none of these .

I do admit that Im guilty with this. I dont do it often. I think maybe Ive done it twice at most. I just wanted to see if something would come up. Im just very particular to not leave a digital trace or at least those that come up easily in public searches. I even tried looking up in the deep web but thankfully my name only came up with less than 5 listings. I couldnt control those listings because it was a class list from my high school and other official directories. I tried searching for my username and those have come up a lot of results which I dont mind because I know that I was going into those sites. Im just careful not to associate my internet username and my real name in sites that doesnt have a good privacy policy. That's just me anyways.^_^

wow, that's a very creative and a wonderful idea. This is something different we can try on the internet. Even i tried to do that and got amazing results. I have my own blog. So even that came on the search list. I was happy to see that. Thanks for the idea my friend. Do come up with such creative ideas in future. Would really love to try different things on the net.

There's not much for my name - I must be the only one on this planet with "my" name. It's a not-so-common first and last name. So if I find anything with my name combination - it's definitely about me. I used to have stuff about me in a search, but I haven't been around since starting a family from about 5-6 years ago . . . so I've mostly disappeared off search engines - hee hee - but good!

Hi Haddowz: I have searched my complete name and the first page is all about me. Yes they talk about me for real because I've won a lawsuit that I present to th Constitutional Court of my country. I am. I do typed my name and was amazed that some who have my name are either Italian, Mexican or Spanish. I am from the Philippines and my name come travel up to Mexico, Italy and Spain. Nice one. Maybe because of my surname. I also check on them on Facebook and we don't look a like . But its fun, knowing someone you share your name with and knowing they are successful with their life and your not

I have but I don't get as many results at you; I guess I have a more unique name at least the way I spell it. It was a long time ago when I did it so things might be different now.

Yep I've found myself (the real me) and also a doctor with the same name. She refuses to send her salary to me though. :-(

i havent tried this anytime and i have never thought of doing this but now as you have mentioned i think i need to try it as it might be a fun getting the results and the kind of results which we havent expected at all, might be some can match us and some cannot but its going to be a fun doing this funny thing, i think you might have enjoyed it.

well i have but there arent that many. i think my name is not that unique but my surname is.

I did this a year or so ago and discovered that I am a famous Gaelic football player in Ireland. I will go and do it again to see what I find now. Ha HA, I am still an Irish footballer, but am also a commercial lawyer, a Rugby player and a motivational speaker. I honestly do not know how I find the time to do all of these things!

My website in deviantart made it to the top ten! :D Gosh I was so surprised to find out that my name wasn't unique. :( Some other guy on facebook have the same name as me. Did you make it to the top 10?

i did, sadly no results about me. just the network that I've been a member in and thats all there is.

Hi Haddowz, I did. And i found my names in directories of non-government working on Reproductive Health, HIV/AIDS and Women and Children's Advocate. Since i've been involved in this cause for almost the entire years of my career. I too was proud seeing the document i made... for an international funded training--a module on lifeskills for teens!

A few years ago when I did it nothing came up. I did it again about a month ago with my married and maiden name and it's all myspace, twitter, and 1 real estate agent. Most are people with my name (either of them) are 7 to 10 yrs younger then me. I guess in a way that's good.:)

i've tried that already, and fortunately, i did find myself there. and it's really me, the contests i've participated and some of the achievements i got were there. it's really nice. :)

i've tried it a few years ago, most of the result is a famous person in the past~
