Mylot question

As you can probably tell from my number of posts, I am new to this website. So my question is how does the money system on this site work in laymans terms? Does it pay you on how popular your discussions are, on how many discussions there are, on how much you respond to other discussions, or a mixture of all the above?

Hello, well its pretty much almost all the above. There is no set amount you earn from having a popular discussion. Although they always say to answer and start topics with quantity and quality. That is what I always keep in mind. I do believe that a lot of the payment is from how many responses you make and how active you are on the site. Like one time I was very close to making 1 dollar in one day. Most of it was from one discussion that I commented on and the comments went from a discussion to a debate. So it really depends but other then that there is not system on how much we make for each of the activity we do. All I can say is that I am thankful this site is around whether or not they pay. It is a awesome site.

That is certainly true that you don't need to post new discussion to earn in myLot. When a discussion is going on and you keep the comments back and forth, that really adds up. More if you further the topics. Obviously if you keep commenting back and forth, you go on to some other related things and in your case, it turned into a debate which makes it a great discussion.

I am glad that you agree. I will sometimes think that I am never going to get down with responding because by the time you finish responding to one comment all of sudden you will see another one by someone that you may and may not like and then it will go crazy from there. I can honestly say that I have only posted like one or two discussions when I do decide to discuss something. I have seen many people put up around 15 discussions a day and I personally think that alone is insane. I am glad that you commented on my response.

Hi 321beep, welcome to myLot. In simple terms, you get paid for what you type. No one, apart from the admins, really knows how the payment is calculated. You don't get paid if your discussion or your response get deleted because of violations of guidelines or terms. You don't get paid for the responses you get. However, you do get paid if you comment back on those responses and further the topic of discussion on those comments.
Don't worry too much about earning. Just enjoy myLot and you will find that it is a great place to hang out. The more active you are, the more you get paid.
