How do you search when looking for a discussion to respond with?
Do you check the top discussions first? or the discussions which your friend started?
As for me, I check for the discussions under my interests first, then check the discussion on today's top, then check those that are started by my friends. How about you?

I do a certain wy of checking the discussion as you do. First i do check my interests first like you do. I then go to the most recent dsicussions to see what others are responding on to see if i can respond to any. I then will have maybe 5 discussions opened in new tabs under my toolbar to respond to so then i start responding to the discussions i have opened an then i will look to see what my freinds have started to see what i can respond to on there.
I do this a couple times a day and then refreh the pages once i have looked through the first page to see what others i can respond to while im on here for the short periods of times through out the da.

First I log in my email address and check the discussions my friends started and if there is any response from the previous postings. I only responded to the ones I know how to respond.
Then I check "the top discussion of the day" and find some discussions to respond. If I find many in the first page, I will not go to the next page. However, if the first page is lack of the kind of discussions that I like, I will go to the next page.

hi typeandclik, thanks for approving my friend request first of all.
I try to contribute at least in 4 discussions daily;
1. Respond to those who responded to the discussion I started if needed
2. Participate in a discussion started by one of my friends
3. Respond to the discussion in one of my interests
4. Respond to a discussion that has no responses
And if I do think of a great topic I would then start a new discussion again =)

I check first through the notifiers in my mail and then I come to this interest. Then, if I still have time I will goto the tabs above this discussion and continue there.
Just a curiouslity - do you realise that you do not earn anything from your started topics unless YOU go and comment on the responses? I see that you have several in this interest and lots of responses but no comments from you. You do not earn for the responses that others post, they do

Finding a discussion that I want to respond to can really depend on my mood throughout the day. There are certain times where I just head to various forums. Perhaps I decide to head over to the myLot forum on this website to see what it has to offer, like I did today. Or perhaps I take a journey over to the Questions and Answers forum. There are many directions that I can go to start out my day at myLot for sure.
Of course, I could decide to browse the various discussions that are listed under my interest tab. Then again, top discussions is something that could yield something interesting. After all, if its the top discussion, then that means that it obviously is something that could be of interest. My friends could have posted something interesting that I might want to chime in on. I really do not have any set pattern in checking for discussion topics that interest me but there are a few things that I have been known to do for time to time.

I always check first the discussions that my friends started. I open a new tab for it and then quickly scan each discussions. Then just reply to those that I find interesting. Next would be discussion in my interest. Then top discussion. And finally discussions with no responses.

I always look at the top discussion and join in if i can, but i also search with key words for discussions on the topics i am interested in. there is so much to join in on here that I am really enjoying myself now and have to come on here everyday.
