Okay, people.
We all get older, nicer, nastier and everything that goes with it.
Today you are friendly and nice.
Tomorrow you just want to hang someone, or something worse.
Should we blame the age thingie or is it only us that cannot control our little emotions?
It can get out of hand, you know.
But, we do try our best to keep that moods under control, but do we really have to?
Isn't it unhealthy or something?
Share your moodiest experience.!!!

Hi, saphy I always try my best keep me in good moods. Sometimes I do lose my temper and my mood becomes bad. Age can play a role in controlling our moods.
Sure it's unhealthy of mind to be moody. It's better to avoid such unwanted emotions to rule us.If you meditation and breathing exercises you can avoid this problem to a great extent.

I feel lost and well, suffocating. Too much work and too little time.
I don't think it is the age thingie, saph. Well, may be a little bit. It's the responsibilities and just what I said before, too much to do in too little time. Stress you out when you feel like you are not making any headway from your to do list. Like you just tick off one from your list and there are three more added....that sort of thing.

On the whole, I'm mostly at a pretty even keel, but if you manage to piss me off, expect that it will be a while - if ever - before I forgive you.
I have been known to sling stuff around when I'm angry.
what makes me most angry is to try and make me take a side on something I am trying to stay out of the middle of, and especially if you are WRONG!

been so busy with my sister who came over with her family the last week so i have a bunch of emails still clogging my inbox. i can believe the age factor has a lot to do with the mood. but problems at home, at work, with spouse, etc. will aggravate the mood of mine.

Hi saphrina,
No problem the BR has already been credited. lol
As we grow older and wiser(?) we tend to invent newer moods and the succession from one mood to another is so fast that before you guess your impression out you would discover a new person altogether. This is really wonderful.
This is,no doubt rational to have control over our tantrums or say emotions but at certain point one needs to let them burst. Over suppression of our bad humor could cause health hazards.
Unless it is embarrassing for others when I feel like I do cry and sing and chide my son. However though I am not that much old to go on shifting moods like a bullet train.

Saph, as we are hit hard by every passing day and people tag us older and since you have seen more faces on Earth you are likely or expected to be wiser than before but ironically this does not seem bearing fruits in all occasions. Right. Hence the (?)
Oh yes, not yet, but know about it. I mean Bullet...

My mood is greatly affected by the people I love. When they are happy I'm extremely happy but when they are sad or troubled I struggle. I try to find a solution that could make the frown go away and the smile shine once again. I don't want the people around me to be sad. Today I'm in a mylot mood

In my job a lot of people could cause sudden changes in my mood. I usually get moody in the office because of incompetent people. The worst is that most of the time it does not have anything to do with the staffs but those people who actually have a position in our company. They are my co- Supervisors. I hate it whenever I see them not doing their job specially when the Managers are not around.
How do I deal with them? Usually what I would do is I'd talk to my other co- Supervisors whom I can trust and who also feels the same way I feel. We would talk as to why they tell different things in front of the Managers when in fact they are doing nothing. Worst is that they are usually the people who complains a lot.

Hi Saphrina,
Thanks for the advice. :) I'm trying my best not to think about them when I'm at work but sometimes I can't avoid thinking negative specially when they are just so near. I also try my best to have a good relationship with them. I get along well with them but I find it hard to be around them when I knew in my self that some of them are not doing their job or they are doing something that's a violation of our company policy. I'm not in the position to call their attention since we are just of the same level. However, just yesterday my Assistant Manager talked to me and told me that he's preparing me to take- over his position in 2 -3 months time since he will be moving up.
Now, that really made me worried. As early as now I'm starting to wonder how I would deal with those office mates of mine when all along I'm aware of what they are doing. I know I should not worry myself about it too much specially that I'm currently 8 months pregnant but what my Manager told me really made me worried.

I do think that as you get older your moods tend to change. I think it's also do to health, if ones health isn't all together good. Like being in constant pain. I'm learning this the hard way.
I have always been an overall happy go lucky person, never really going off on people, (hate confrontation of any sort), but recently do to a health problem that developed I have been in a horiffic amount of pain, medicine doesn't help they have tried a number of things that have failed and surgery is the next option. Which I will under go in 2 weeks from today.
I'm hoping that after the surgery my happy go lucky self will return. As is my family.
So my recent experiences have been with people in the retail businsee and voicing my opinion of their lack of customer service skills. Which I always feel makes me just as bad when I point those things out. My motto has always been everyone has a bad day and some just don't know how to not bring it to work so let their behaviour slide, my motto has changed. I truly believe it's do to the pain I'm in and just letting things get to me and then I fly off.
So yes I do think that age has something to do with ones moods changing for a variety of reasosns one being, pain and another patience. I think that as one gets older their patience level drops with younger people. This is only something that I have observed not anything that I have read. As always just my 2 cents worth!!!

I think you have a good point there though about as you get older your patience level drops (except I think that works for everything not just younger people...) at least that's what I am finding with myself.
I used to be very diplomatic, tactful and extremely patient naturally, these days it is an immense effort to maintain those skills, a lot of the time I just don't see why I should lol...

Hi saphy! I'm here! Opal is late for all the fun on the other
page again! I am always having horrible mood swings all the
time! In fact, today I am feeling depressed and cranky! It
is very hot here in NY and I don't do well in the hot humid
weather. It makes me tired and lazy and, well sort of mean!
I just don't want to do anything at all and I can't seem to
snap out of it~

hey saphrina,
I've had problems with my mood swings and I found out that mine get worse when i have to take out the nuvaring which is my birthcontrol. I leave it for three weeks and take it out a week. My mom's mood swings get worse when she doesn't take her hormone pills like she should. If she misses them for three or four days then she's all to pieces. It's always good to keep them in check. Knowing when you might go off on someone verses when you won't may also keep the drama down.
