Thankfully I do meditation and it helps a great deal because I can get over the stress of the day with the techniques in meditation only, sometimes I do yoga which also helps to strengthen the confidence and thus giving you more boost up.

Yes i have also heard that meditation does put you in control of situations that effect your life and even i am dyeing to learn that. But many people leave meditation half way because meditation requires patience more than anything else which most of them lack these days, though public awareness is still there about stress and meditation.Did you learn these through referring books or have you attended any regular classes on these?

Don't think too much as it will not solve the problem either.
I normally take an evening jog for 1 hour before ending my day.
THen I watch TV and talk to mum. She is a good listener.
Most important is open your heart then you will not stress out.

Opening your heart out is also very good way of taking out your stress as there are many people who cannot do that as they tend to keep many things within themselves and also some things may also be very straining thing for them.Jogging is really good, but again if you go in the morning time, where everything is fresh, it will help you out more for sure

I try my best to ignore my stress by keeping myself thinking about doing things rather than life. I just need to occupy myself, but if I really can't handle it anymore I would just cry until I feel better, and the next day I am back to my cheery self.

Occupying yourself by anything may not be a way of controlling stress as again if you get occupied by your daily stressing work all the time, stress may increase and may not get better as we are only seeing ways to reduce stress for a healthier life here. Many people find their own ways of handling stress

I meditate. It helps a lot to relax and get rid of the bad feelings.
Also it helps if one goes away from the daily problems for a day or two. One can get a complete different view on problems from a distance. Sometimes, when I take off two days from work, I can see that all is only a game. And it is easier to play a game than to tackle the problem, isn't it?

Medtation is very good and even so when practiced through a teacher instead of reading books related to meditation and also yoga is also very good. These days many people does talk about this, but never do that in their life as it requires more of patience than anything else here.Taking a break will also help one for sure

I always liked to pack a fat bowl of some purple kush and just get right ripped. That usually takes the stress out of me.

I think by eating you might get satisfaction or happy that you are tasting something good, but this may not help in reducing stress for sure as in other words it might result in bad consequence also by overeating anything which is tasty.I never eat while i am in stress or go to eating habit to take out my stress for sure as it may not be helpful for me for sure

AS FOR ME, what i do is that i only walk around the house... trying to get the stress off by walking and if i get tired of that, i would be watching my favorite tv show. :D he he nice! i mean, tv does help a lot.. talking and letting out the frustrations help too - but no t all the time since it would be hard to find a person who would sit around and just listen to you talk.. some of them would evenhave their own comments as well.

Walking for sometime till you sweat out properly does have an major impact on your health as well as your mental condition as exercise is needed for everybody in this mechanical world where daily stress does effect everybody.I also believe that having a pleasant talk with someone you care or someone who is close does help you out in relaxing. But, watching movie or other TV shows for longer time to take out stress may not be helpful i guess

alien, I do wish that you would not see people as robots, even if many do act as such. Many people really wake up and, as if they have some mechanical key at the back, they go about each day with the usual preoccupation, just like the one they did the previous day, and the day before that. At the end of the day, they feel stressed out.
Still, many people are able to verge away from duplicating their days. They know that it is a must to relax and enjoy life. Walking is a good way to release those pent up emotions and worries. It is also a good form of physical exercise. Driving is a favorite. I find it therapeutic. Mylotting is also a modern way of psyching oneself that there are far worse situations than the ones we are in.

These days life has become very mechanical and people don't seem to find time for anything as they will be mostly engaged in their office work and other stuff as we also see many parents doesn't even give enough time for their children which also effects their family life and so, people do stress out more as they forget to take time for relaxing or they find money earning more important than relaxing and in fact, majority of people are like this now

I listen to music. I meditate. I watch documentaries on nature. All these help me to destress. Sleeping early and waking up early, going for a walk in the morning helps me to be fresh. If nothing else helps, download a software called natura sound therapy for your PC. Its very good. It has helped me so much. Its a paid software but you can get pirated copies online.

I hear to soft music for getting out of stress, but strangely there are some people who also listen to loud music to relieve stress which i feel might increase daily stress.Nature watch is the best way of getting relaxed and early morning walk is also one of the way to be more relaxed as we tend to get more enthusiastic by morning walk and exercise for sure

I believe in praying and also listening to soft kind of music which will be so relaxing for sure but eating to take out stress is strange as i haven't heard this anywhere and in a way while you are stressed, you tend to overeat which is bad again for health.Stress does strange things to each one

For me, it helps that I'll start my day with prayers. I believe that with the Lord's guidance, I'll be able to face and handle anything with the right attitude. Exercise also helps to lessen the daily stress. If your body is physically fit, our mind will be fit also to handle the pressures.

Starting the day with prayer is always good to anyone and it really helps to relax and also it makes you more confident.I go for early morning jog and as you said, it does keep us active whole day as we feel charged up once we finish off our daily jog and even the morning weather will be too good as it will be without pollution

When I am feeling stressful, I will not think about anything and go to a cinema to watch any movie played at the time. The story in the movie gives me a new spirit to live well.
Or sometime I listen to some music and it also boost my spirit to face anything one at a time.

Being in rural area, you tend to work hard more than urban area people who will be dyeing to get more physical exercise which you get automatically and the days fitness awareness is becoming common with urban people as they have started with regular jogging and exercise which is very good for health and also one tends to get more enthusiastic in daily work by getting involved in jogging, exercise etc which in turn also reduces the daily stress

If I come to think about it, I should be as stressed as ever. But luckily, I live each day now just the same as when my life was not that stressful then. The key? I don't sulk on the fact that my life is so stressful now. The more I would internalized how stressful my life should be now, the more I get stressed. So to avoid stress, I don't think of the stresses and I avoid feeling that I am stressed. The more conscious you are about how stresssed you are...the more stressful you would be. But if you psyche up yourself that stressful things happening around you are just normal part of your life, then you would feel that there's nothing to be stressed about.
I don't know if I can get my message to you correctly. But the bottomoline is, you will be and you are what you think you will be and what you are. It's all about perspective. If we think too much about negative things... the more negative things will be, right?

Yes, the days can get very stressful. THe long days at work certainly gets very stresful. One of my favorite ways of getting rid of the stresses of the day is listening to music after I get back home in the evening. Classical music is my favorite. I keep a collection of CDs of classical music, Strauss, Brahms, Beethoven, and more. I listen to them almost every evening !

I think that things have become very stressful in today's modern age! There are so many things to do and it seems that stress is the order of the day! I don't take too well to stress myself and so I have had to come up with some coping mechanisms that work for me. I think that the most important thing is to decide what you want to do or what you like doing and make that a big part of your life!
I recently started meditating and I'm finding this very helpful, the stress seems to just disappear! I also love to read as then I get to escape into another world if only for a short duration. I think that exercise plays a huge part too! It's important to make time for exercise and this can definitely eradicate all that stress. I cycle on a daily basis and I feel great as a result.
I think it's different for everyone anyhow. I also like to read those self-help books as they can be very useful at times, they help to get your thinking right if that makes any sense. Whatever I'm reading I always make sure I have a good self-help book alongside! Andrew

I want to write diary on blog or notebook. Expressing my stress or tensions by words is a good way. Talking with friends is also better to reduce prssure. I like the peaceful way to deal with it.
Of course, many people want to do crazy things to express their feelings, such as bungee jumping, mountain climbing and so on.
Whatever you choose, making you comfortable is the best.

for me in my own opinion if I'm stress I just listen to some of my favorite music or sometimes I go you tube and sing some of the karaoke there.stress will make you feel like you've run out of batteries but it doesn't mean you can't do things that will make you alive again, when i'm super-doper stress,I just start it with listening to a music to change my mood and to lessen the tension, after that I do things just to make me feel relax.
