All of us mylotters know that you cannot edit any things here, including discussions, comments and responses.I have hoped so much mylot can open the edit function so I can correct syntax errors and wrong words by accident,or add some things and photoes I have forgot. But now I have used to the non-editable of mylot, and I become more cautious on typing and will recheck again before submittal. It's really a good habit to us as sometimes we cannot make up for our wrong doings during work and life,so be cautious is always right and mylot can help us to improve.
What do you think of mylot's non-editable feature?like it or not?

yes, sometimes i hoped that to happen cause sometimes i have some thoughts of adding something to it or type the right words for that.but what can we do,mylot has no function of that.some members also wanted to have chat feature here so that they could chat and know someone personally.cause i agree also in a chat form it is easier to exchange conversations with, but it is a forum site.we all have to discuss things in longer form.and to fully understand things we don't understand.

yeah, ann i agree that if there is chat function here,no one or the people who discuss things would lessen.well,i realizes you can also chat in a way here, just like there's no chatbox coming out where you can type.it's just message box where you can type all the thoughts in your mind and it's like conversations and chatting in a way.

I wish we could at least edit what we have posted.. we sometimes misspell words or compose sentences which may be out of context.. sometimes I elicit questions which are illegal in Mylot.. its a pity though that, we have to wait for people to report us and get our discussions deleted by admin..and lose a part of our reputation.. I strongly suggest that we must be given access for editing..

Yes, I have wanted that for a long time. I usually think of something afterwards and want to add or edit something.
When I post in Firefox I have the spell check function on so spelling is not a problem unless I use another browser. I guess I could add a spell check to them but have not got around to it. It is lof little importance as this an ideas exchange, not a spelling bee.
I think they do not want people to come back a long time after and delete or edit their posts, but I think a five or ten minute timer to edit would be ideal, or at least an improvement over what is here already.

It would be so nice if mylot would do this for us. I would be appreciative of the effort. So many times I see a typo after I have submitted a discussion or response or comment. I can't take it back. Sometimes I get annoyed with myself for not seeing I had something to fix before submitting. it would make my mylot life much easier to edit. Don't you agree?

I agree of course, and it's really upset to see the typo on discussion but you cannot edit at all.At least mylot should give a chance to change the error we have made.I have been annoyed myself for a whole night for not adding photoes on a discussion which was about photoes.

I agree with you but I think mylot won't add edit function. They have present two button under editor box, that is preview response/discussion button and post response/start discussion button. We can see our response/discussion using preview button before submit it to mylot. This way will show you preview about our post and if we find any mistake, we can edit it. Actually, most of us never use this since we want to post faster. We just read it back when it has been submitted.
If we are more patient and not in hurry, we can read it for a while before post it, we can find a mistake in the editor box. I usually check it at a glance. When I made misspell, there will be red line under word that wrong. It's easy to see, so always keep an eye on word that red color underlined. At least, this will minimize our mistake.

It's really waste time to recheck misspell words by words, but now I have got a good idea. There is an option called"translate selected text"on lingoe(a translation software)and after I have made a discussion I use this option to check the misspell. It does can save a lot of time.Things will eventually sort themselves out!

Yes. I hope we can edit our discussions and comments. That will be great if they will let us. Happy MyLotting!

Yes, I think it would be really nice if mylot puts an edit function here. AT least responders can still edit their responses and make them look just as how they want them to look.

Definitely I hate this non-edit feature very much! No matter how carefully you have checked, you can't promise you are absolutely right. And from psychology we know people's mind has inertia, checking just after typing is much more effectless. So I don't think the preview function can replace edit function on this side.
In addition, having edit fuction is more convenient for us to add something, especially for the discussion starter, he/she can't comment on his discussion, now without edit, he can only wait for the first response then comment on it. But even though he/she has done it, it's much less noticeable and inconvenient for the following readers.

I'm not sure I like it. I just opened an account and I noticed a syntax error after I had posted something. I was trying to figure out how to fix it, until I realized I couldn't. I understand that it can be helpful for us to read over what we write, but it can be quite frustrating. Especially when you're trying to give someone advice. You want to make everything as clear as possible and that isn't even an option if you mess something up.
