Does your weight worry you or annoy you?

Just a simple question that I ask because I have seen and responded to so many discussions from people that are not happy with their weight or size. I am not thin at all, but I am not big, for me I think I am just about the right size, but after using one kind of contraception, I did gain so much weight, not helped by the fact that I was always eating bad things whenever I felt the need to. I did not really think about my weight, but there came a point where I looked at myself one day and I just thought "I need to lose some weight"... after that, I did not go on exercise regime, or anything like that... All I did was cut down on the amount of food I was eating, I cut my portions of meals down, and I stopped snacking in the evening, making my last meal before 6pm, and if I needed anything in the evening I would have a small bowl of cereal. By doing this, I have dropped from a size 18 UK size to a size 14 UK size, in the waist. I am pretty happy with that, and I am maintaining it which is good... I also had a baby last January, and I am still a size 14 waist. Thats two dress sizes I have dropped. I don't want to be skinny, and the weight I am at the moment is just right, and I still don't exercise. I guess all I am saying although I know it is hard for some people to lose weight, if you try and cut down on things, you will lose weight. It does not happen over night, but it will happen.

I am a thin man and never gain my weight. Even though I eat a lot, my weight is stable around 70 kg. I almost never thought my weight. My concern is about health only. I have to keep my health in order to be active since I have many job to do. For me, weight is not important to think. If we have good proportional body without good health, then that is useless. The important thing is health.

Yes, it does, especially the unwanted fats growing around our tummy or waist area. This can really be annoying and embarrassing as they look so bad in any clothes. No matter what we do, these bulges have a way of sticking out and telling everyone how fat we are.

my weight annoys me too, specially on my belly. I am concious at times that I wear loose blouses. I'm watching on my diet now. I dont have a baby yet, but my tummy resembles that of a woman who have given birth already..

Yes my weight is really annoying me, I'm too thin almost anorexic looking. I've tried lots of gain weight program but nothing worked. I eat 3 heavy meals a day plus snacks in between... still no change. Right now, I'm working on gaining muscles, I work out twice a week... i hope it will work this time.

It worries me because of the risk of having heart problems. It annoys me because of course if you are overweight or obese it is not good to look and you cannot wear most of the clothes in the store.

When it comes to weight, this is definitely an issue that plagues my mind from time to time! I think that it's a constant battle to try and keep your weight down. If you don't do any exercise then you pounds start to stick to you and as you get older it becomes increasingly difficult to lose weight. I have gone through the process of eating lots of junk food from time to time as it's a well known fact that certain types of junk food can make you feel good and can lift depression. Now, I'm trying to change things! I'm a regular cyclist and I try and get out on the bike on a daily basis. I'm also trying to eat a lot less each day by having smaller portions in my meals. I think that a Friday night is the worst time for me to binge on food that isn't good for me. I love to have that occasional chocolate, who doesn't? If I can reach a balance though then I'm one happy bunny, that's all that matters, balance! Overall I think I'm doing ok when it comes to my weight but I have to maintain the process otherwise I will return to those earlier periods when the pounds would stick to me like glue! Andrew

I only get annoyed with it, because my doctors start griping at me because of my weight. I'm not happy in it but I have been able to move past the weight issue and start seeing myself as a human being. Once I did that I was so surprised at how many people started conversating with me and they wanted to have relationships and friendships with me. It doesn't get easier to deal with the weight because I've tried just about every thing even excercise and diet and because the doctors want more than what i can give them at this point it does get frustrating.

I have never really worried about my weight. I was quite thin as a child. I never had the problem of weighing too much. As the years have gone by, I have gained a few pounds in places I would rather not. I am still not worried with my weight. You could say at times I do get annoyed by it though. I am not unhappy with my weight, but I know it could be better.

So far it doesn't because i've only gained a few kilos but it must stop soon. I used to think i'll never be fat but with age it gets harder to loose kilos. I know i won't allow myself to be very fat but maybe a bit heavier than i'd like to be. Have a great day

Dear Rosie 230, I'm fine with my weight but in my family I'm the thinner one compare than all my brothers. All my relatives said I'm underweight and ask me to put on weight. It's annoy me when everytime I met them, they always ask me to eat more food and take a supplement too. I ate in a small portion 6times a day, drink more plain water and daily walking to my office. When I see a doctor for medical check-up,the result show my health is in a good conditions.I can wear any dress or blouse and can share my brother jeans too.I hope I can maintain my weight, eat a lot of healthy food and walking daily. Regards, fadyhalim

I consider my weight to be okay within the health limits. If you are overweight you can consider a number of ways to deal with it.You can accept the fact that you have a problem and love your ownself then seek the opinoin of a doctor,do regular extensive exercises, eat well and all will be okay.If you are underwieght you still need to love yourself the way you are then eat well.

its a great thing that you are comfortable with your weight. I have been in a constant battle with my weight for years. Ive lost a lot of weight but i did it gradually the right way, with no fad diets or diet pills. i did the hard way hehe eating right, taking my vitamins, and of course the biggest factor EXERCISE!! As i am typing this im getting ready to do 30mins of cycling while watching the world cup ( slovakia vs netherlands currently 0-1) i get it when you say that some people keep complaining about their weight but they dont do anything about it..sometimes it gets annoying, but i use that same energy to talk them into losing weight the right way, itll take some time and it is harder than most but it is pretty darn rewarding!

Good for you Rosie and glad your eating habits and exercise work for you. Everybody has a different way to lose weight due to how their body performs. But back to the discussion. It depends on yourself if you feel good about how you look. Most of the time if we just tone up and tighten those muscles we can lose weight. Stress brings on weight for sure. For me, I had a stressful job and was gaining and eating the same as before, maybe less. I am still working at the same job, but it is ending in two days. But since I don't have the stress anymore I have lost weight but I also walk a lot to tone up. I also don't eat red meat or snack on greasy salty stuff. Now I am not saying I don't eat those on occasion, but I don't eat a lot of it. I stick with seafood, chicken, turkey, fruits and veggies. I read the other day that we even fruit wrong. Did you know you should eat fruit on an empty stomach to gain the most out of the nutrients? I did not know that. Again, congrats Rosie on the weight loss and new baby.

My weight annoys me, but I am not EXTREMELY overweight.. just a little chubby. Thankfully (?) I am very tall so not only does any added weight get stretched over my frame, I am used to being bigger than most other people... so gaining a pound or two isn't as shocking. (I am 6'2 and a US woman's size 14). Most of the time I just don't think about it. When I want some ice cream I have it. My boyfriend on the other hand has the metabolism of a hummingbird and can eat like a horse! I tease him about that a lot, mostly because I'm jealous! lol

It worries me a lot. Others say that I am not fat nor big, just nice for my age. The problem is, I do know that I am putting on weight. Its all hidden under the clothes, I have excess fat here and there. I've tried dieting and stuffs but I do not exercise. Only last week, I started using the strider in my attempt to lose weight. I make sure I use the machine an hour a day. I really need to lose those fats. Good for you Rosie, you've managed to lose some.
