Well, did god make man, or did man make god out of self righteousness and fear? I for one believe that god made man.

For me, I believe that God made man, it's written in the Bible, Genesis 2:7 - And Jehovah God proceeded to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man came to be the living soul.

yes Jehovah is the English translation of Yahweh. Just like Jesus is of Yeshua.

hi there. interesting question. well, if one is agnostic, i would say he might answer the latter. god made man. but man explained god in various ways that it seems like it is man who made god. because god was described according to how man wanted him to be like.

Deity created mankind, through the drive towards new life that has it's spark in all living things. Man made God in his own image out of the Gods that made us.

Hi BlackEverything, I think it depends on how we look at the question. We are spiritual beings and therefore part of all that is. I feel certain however that early man, fearing the unknown and not able to understand what was happening around him came up with the idea of a God or Gods that many believe in today. The old man in the sky, kind of God is certainly man made. Blessings.

God created man as far as I know. Out of righteousness, man recognize the existence of God. The main reason why we have learning materials that will help us learn more about God is because God already knows that there are going to be questions like this that's going to arise from people. I dont think God would ever want us, His children to be confuse about this things so I know He provided a way for us to know Him.

Yes, that is true, my friend. God sent His Only Son Jesus to show us the way to the Lord God, Himself. Praise God! Pray to God. God bless us all!

I consider man as the most helpless creatures. He is unable to solve his day-to-day problems. He himself is standing on the brink of extinction. If God were not there to help him, he would have destroyed himself long ago. When man is not able to look after himself, how can he create God? In front of God, man’s significance is nil.

But is man so halpless and comfused with fear that he created god as a comfort to make him feel better about the future, the unknown and his problems? Like i said, i personally do believe in god, but maybe just not the traditional god as depicted in the bible and the such like. I just feel its a question that is intresting and will lead to some good points being raised.

God is. It is man who has tried to frame Him and describe Him.

Without question humans created gods and in some societies these gods mutated into the monotheistic concept of one god, There could be no god without the human species to imagine it. The concept of gods arose out of a need to explain natural occurrences that were not understood and to alleviate the fear of the unknown. Gods ultimately became a source of power and control for those who claimed an ability to communicate with them and transmit the word of god to the masses.

Man made reason. Truth, like many things, is relative.

If God made man, then God is an existing being. If man made God, then "God" is a mere idea. What this question is asking is whether or not God exists as a being or an idea. It is possible that there is a God who created man and that there are ideas of other gods that man created (that "or" is inclusive). The only ways to prove an answer to the question are to show that God exists (which is impossible unless God reveals himself) or to show who, when, and where the idea of a god was first put forth historically, which can also not be answered. The only answer to the question is "one or the other or both". The only way to narrow the answer further is faith that God exists or faith that God does not exist.
