Today I am going to take my son to see a free movie at the Regal Cinemas. Every Tuesday and Wednesday during the summer you can see a free movie at 10am. They only show two movies for the freebie. Usually they show a really old movie like the "Muppets" and one recent movie like "Up" or "Open Season". I think that is very nice of the theaters to do this.

I used to do that years ago with my sons. The movies weren't free but everything was $.50--the admission, snacks, drinks, etc. We had a great time and saw some good movies. It was nice to be in a chilly theater when it was 110 or more outside! The price was certainly right, although none of the theaters offered free movies.
My son saw Up and loved it, even though he's in his 20's now. He loves Pixar stuff. I hope you have a great time!

Ya, that is nice. They probably make their money on consession. I only attend movies at our dollar cinema. It cost $2.50 in the day and $3.50 in the evening. It actually cost more for the soda and popcorn than it does to see the movie. Anymore the price of going to a regular movie you migtht just as well buy it.

Oh wow, really? That's really awesome. I have a Regal cinema really close to me and I wonder if my cinema does that, too? Do you have to have a kid with you? I'll have to check that out. It is really nice of a theater to do that. Very cool.

I think all of the Regal cinemas do. Just do a search on the internet for "free summer movies" or "free Regal movies". It will show you the locations and what is showing each Tuesday and Wednesday. Just remember that they only have two movies to choose from and they are older movies.
You do not need to have a child with you. I saw plenty of single people there and elderly couples. Have fun if you go!

There are 3 different movie companies that do that around here. I have not taken my kids to any of them this summer, but last summer we went to a few of them. I also think it is really nice. I need to look up which ones are playing here and maybe take the kids to one.

That is nice, it gives kids something to do during the summer vacation and it doesn't cost them an arm and a leg. I don't know if the movie theater here in my town does anything like that, it would be good if they did.

Very cool. Do they do this at all Regal Cinemas? I know my aunt is keeping my niece (her great niece) this summer and this would be a great way for them to spend some time and not cost much.
Hope your son enjoys his movie, it will give ya'll some great bonding time.

It's awesome. In my country, it's unusual. In my childhood, I once watched movies in the open air. At that time, my home was poor and there wasn't entertainment for us. Some organizations arranged interesting acts for the inhabitant. A lot of people went to the square with their chair and watched movies joyfully, some of the children even sitting on their fathers' shoulders. It is really a nice memory.
