I'm not a very experienced gardener, but this is what the tomato plants in my garden look like right now. Does anybody have their tomatoes yet, or any other vegetables? How long before I can expect to see tomatoes?

You have to wait for the tomatoes to grow, but your flowers look very healthy. I haven´t even planted my tomatoes this year as it is Winter in my country. But I´m working the soil and making compost meanwhile. This year I want more produce by making raised beds.

I would like to grow more things, too, but I am really very inexperienced.

Hi! You need to give your tomato plants LOTS of sun and water. Don't know how to explain this very well, but where the vine and a branch make a V shape if there are small leaves or a tiny branch growing in there take it out. That will suck energy from the plant and it is not good for anything much. Be careful not to remove anything "good" when you do that. Tomatoes off the vine are yummy! I slice our big ones and sometimes put them on a grilled cheese sandwich. We have a few cherry tomato plants too that we eat with dinner, either right on the plate or in a salad. Best of luck with your plants and PATIENCE is the key and lots of WATER to make them nice and juicy for you!!! : )

My tomatoes are planted in the sunniest place around my house, and I think we are giving them enough water. I did not know about the vines and small leaves and branches, but I will look today. Thank you!

You have awhile to wait. It takes about a month for that flower to change into a tomato, I think, looking at the flower. A lot depends on how much sun and how much rain. Good luck!

A month! That seems long, but good things are worth waiting for. Thanks.
