Vijayanths! We should definitely not worry about future because it is in God's hands. All we can do is just ask for His grace all through our lives. But worrying and planning are two different things. We human beings live eternally on hope and though we do know that we may not live the next minute we still would plan and save up for the future.THis, as Buchi pointed out would become a necessity.
Unless we plan and prepare we cannot write and pass an examination. Similarly, unless we plan and prepare to the best of our ability we cannot pass the examination that is life.We would be failing in our duty too. But doing our duty without worrying should be our motto.Since the result is in God's hands we should not worry. We can plan anything but while we live we must just think of the 'here and now' and carry on because as you have written -"Edhu nadandhadho adhu nanragave nadandhadhu'.Edhu nadakkiradho adhu nanraga nadakkiradhu . Edhu nadakka pogiradho adhuvum naragave nadakkum.' We shall live on hope following the sacred Gita.

You have touched the heart Kalav56. True words. I reproduce herewith Mother Therasa's golden words.
"Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin." - Mother Teresa
Make use of the present well and provide for the future. If you waste your present thinking of your future, the future will be a bed of thorns and not a bed of roses.

hi, Kala, yes, Gita is the inspiration for this post. You have added another point from Gita " do your duty without bothering about the results".
It's easy to read these words and understand but to practice? that's where many fail kala.
As usual your response is classy.

Buchi, kala always comes up with solid thought provoking responses.
Mother Teresa's words resemble Gita, what do you think?

Because we want our future to be comfortable. Even ants safeguard for rainy season and collect food and hide in anthills. We being sixth sensed human beings, must take care of our future and provide for that when we have strength in body and mind. After all everyone wants safe and secured future. We have to provide for oldage as oldage is weak and cannot run around like youth and needs lot of money for medical expenses and comfort which is necessary and not luxury.

hi vijayanths,
for me, the future is not something to worry about, its something to look forward to.
we should always learn from the past and cherish the memories we have there...
live for today...and welcome tomorrow with a smile and with courage in our heart.

hello dear anna,
You are right, why worry about the future when we can't even hold today and we can't bring back yesterday?
Tomorrow will come, whether we like it or not, yesterday won't come back and today will pass like the other day.
The future is not ours to see,thu we can plan of something about it.
Why worry about the future when we never knew if tomorrow comes in our life?
Who knows if we will still be able to see the next morning...what more with the future?
Live each day like there is no tomorrow, for we never knew what lies ahead.
Have a good day always my dear

Today I was upset with an incident happened in my neighbor house. A young boy of 23 years fell down from 5 feet height two days ago. He was okay on that day and so he ignored it and went to Mumbai yesterday with his dad to join his PG course in a Mumbai college. Today suddenly he became serious and admitted in ICU in a Bombay hospital. We all are worried about him. May God save the young soul.
Future is to certain extent not in our hands dear sister.
What is the use in worrying about future? You are truly philosophical dear. I loved your response.

i felt sad upon reading your response.
Well, what happen to your neighbor is nothing to do with the future.
It is his choice,he ignored his health.
He should have see a doctor, even if he feels good.
Well,i don't want to say more,i hope your neighbor will be fine soon..let's hope for the best for him

My problems are realy very big. my human power is not enough to solve my problems. once, 6 years ago, i sit alone and started to think and worry about my problems. Suddenly i got a difficulty in breating. I wanted to have a cup of tea. As i live alone in a forigen country i have nobody to give me a cup of tea even. So I held the wall for support; walk very slowly to the kitchen and made tea for me. So i realized. I have nobody to help. i should be steady and strong. my husband and my two children need me. From that I never think my problems and worry. Always laugh and fun.

I worry about the future for the reason that I don't know what it brings. There are so many what-ifs such as what will happen next, what will I be doing tomorrow, etc.. So many questions and yet only the future holds whats for us. Which is kinda creepy for me not knowing the unknown.. But even though what the future brings, I'll be ready day-by-day.. Live my life to the fullest and show all the ones I love how much I value them so that I'll have no regrets whatever the future brings.

I think that you are right. Usually when we worry, there actually is nothing to worry about. I always worry about the future, whether the test results coming out in two weeks or what future career I am going to have. I know I shouldn't worry and there really is no point to stress myself out. Still, I en up thinking about the future and worry about it. But the answer is no, we shouldn't worry about the future.

yes, animegirl, we all know that we shouldn't worry about the future but we can't avoid worrying and that is quite natural.
however we should do our duties and leave the results to God. That's the best way of living , I think.

I believe that worrying about the future is usually a waste of time because, although we can prepare for many things there are also so many incidents that are beyond our control. The problem with constantly concerning ourselves with what is going to happen in the future is that we stop enjoying the ‘now’ and let’s face that is all we ever have right here, right now...

well said paula, there is no point in worrying about future as we have no control over certain matters. Of course to some extent we can plan things and get positive results. thanks.

Hi anna, i can say the past is behind learn from it, the future is ahead prepare for it, the present is here live it.... that's all i can say. We have to accept the things as it comes, should not be worried about future, god will give us a better place for everyone. If you think more about future, it will not work out than doing something. If we do anything we will get some thing, if we can't do anything simply thinking then you will get nothing. Feeling bad or sad is waste.

Worrying is innate in human. It is part and parcel of life. Too much worrying is bad though. But how much is just enough to worry about? It's just subjective, varying from person to person, from circumstances to circumstances. And striking that perfect balance of how much to worry or not just seem to be an illusion. But one can learn how to manage it though. A good management that would turn the stress that comes along with a little worry can be just as motivating. It's the little drive, that little push we sometimes need in life.

You should not worry about future. Because what will you be in the future is the effect of what you have done from the past. So as long as you have the chance to make things better and correct mistakes, do good things now and for sure you will have a better future.

Hi vijayanths, You are absolutlely right, we should never worry about tomorrow. Now is the only time that we have and we are meant to enjoy it. When we worry about the future we may someday reach the age of 100 years only to find that we have not lived at all. Blessings.

I agree Pose, what is the point in living long all the time worrying and fearing?
How many years we live is not important, how many years we enjoyed life is.
Quantity is not that important, quality is.

There is no need to worry about the future as we may not wake up to be in it, the here and now is the important thing. Live life as if it was the last day on earth, love, make friends, have fun and rejoice in a new day, every day.

That is also my question. But maybe, it's because there are no certain things in this life. You might have done your best in all your duties but are you sure there'll be no problem tomorrow, considering all those people with mentalities with that of crab, ready to pull you if you are nearing the top? But my boss told me not to worry as long as everything's fine for today because Jesus' prayer in the Bible said, "give us this day our daily bread." He did not tell "give us our bread today, tomorrow, and till our last breath." Bread, applies to all aspects of life.

Human is a worry lover living being so its always worry. All human beings most worried point is "F-U-T-U-R-E". We can see this examples in all around us in our daily life. Ok, here are the prooves -
1. You will notice everywhere that all mothers just want one thing that is, their children will be the best in study and in extra caricular so in "future" they could get good jobs and could live happily.
2. Every children in this world are very much tensed about the upcoming exam. They all forgot about everything and just focus their mind on study 'cause this will let them get good marks in exam and in "future" they will get good jobs.
3. Lately it is noticed that scientists have saw a vision of the end of earth and they are making many reaserches about this problems, so that they could protect the problem in "future".
This how we can see that all human being is feared for future.
But, for me, I will suggest everyone to forgot about future and enjoy the present! :)

yes, in real life we see all those things as mentioned.
We have to plan for the future, work towards it and then stop worrying about future. We need to enjoy the present as this is what is the reality of today.
