Ive been wondering for a while now, and cant figure it out. You know how there are PTC sites and PPC sites and all that, so what is mylot considered as?

I think it's a 'question and answer' site, much like Yahoo Answers, except that at Mylot they pay you for participating. And for some odd reason, that i can't figure out, the people at Mylot are much nicer than the people at YA. The people are YA are very nasty! Okay, not all of them, but many of them. I have not had anybody be nasty to me here on Mylot. I can't figure out what it is about YA that attracts nasty people and what it is about Mylot that attracts more polite people.

Ouch!
That is exactly what myLot is NOT. Nowhere in the FAQs or on any of the other pages do myLot tell us that we earn for posting questions and answers. but sadly many users make that mistake.
MyLot is for discussions and the more we discuss the better we will be rewarded for our participation.

Yes, but i believe that according to the rules, you start a discussion by asking a question. Right? If i would start a discussion that just contains my opinion on something, without asking any question whatsoever, just hoping to start a discussion, my post may get deleted as being against the guidelines. Therefore it is set up as a question and answer site. If i'm mistaken about that, please explain.

It is a discussion site where we are being paid for our participation. The more interesting we post, the more money we get.
I love the fact that I can tap into lots of brains here in myLot and have fun at the same time. When I first signed up, I didn't think of it much except as a way to earn few pennies. A week or so into it, I realised that I am enjoying it so much and that I am learning new things that I don't really care about the earning part of it. Don't get me wrong, I love the earnings part, but I would still be Lotting even if I don't get paid provided other members are still active.
