I have hiccups since six hours now. Drinking water, eating sugar has not helped. What do I do to get rid of these hiccups?

there would be suffocation. do you mean to say, suffocating, and lack of oxygen helps cure the hiccups...
please tell, if you were joking~

there are many orthodox ways, .. like shouting at the person, and, putting him to some sudden shocking questions, etc. . but,
i think, all you need to do is relax the muscles of the abdomen and thorax. and, breathe properly. that should solve the problem .. drinking water slowly also eases the congestion of the lining of muscles, that go into spasm.

I usually hold a glass of water in my hand, put my mouth on the opposite side and drink upside down. It really seems to work. However, I am thinking that the part that works is changing the breathing. If someone scares you for real, I've heard that they go away. You also might try to put a paper bag over your head (not plastic= that's dangerous!) but it's about the breathing pattern being broken up. good luck!

i think you need a shock to get rid of those hiccups.. so just insert the finger in a electric plug or get in touch with electricity 1ce. that should help you out buddy.

Whenever I got hiccups I would take a deep breath and hold it until I start hearing my heart beating(about 30 secs.) and then let it all out really really slowly. It always works for me.
