We rescued this kitten a few weeks ago but I am not sure of the breed. I do not know much about cats. I included a photo below so you can see what he looks like.

It doesn't matter to me either ElicBxn. I was just wondering what he might be since we have no clue. He is such a cutie. Right now he is attempting to climb my bookcase. He has made it to the second shelf but I hope he doesn't go any higher because two shelves up I have breakables. UGH! I'm not looking forward to some of his adventures. lol

Oh, you are sooo right about that ElicBxn! Nothing has been broken as of yet, thank goodness. But, just about an hour ago my kitten learned how to jump from the kitchen table onto our kitchen counter. That was pretty much the only place he hadn't been able to explore yet. It is all down hill from here I guess. :(

Thanks. I just sent you a friend request there on facebook. Your cats are adorable! Our vet said he thinks Oreo is a Himalayan Siamese. But, when searching the web I have found out that he seems somewhat Siamese but mainly rag doll or some others, but not as much like Himalayan.

Don't know, but he sure is a cutie! I had a cat my boys named Oreo many years ago. He was black and white, so the name certainly fit! Later when one of my sons had a black and white guinea pig (black on both ends with white in the middle), he named him Hydrox (like the other cookie). That fit too! I've still got one kitten left from the four that the stray mama dumped at my feet. Three of them went home with the contractors working on my house, and I've been debating keeping the fourth little guy, but I have nowhere I can keep a litter box where the dogs won't get into it.

We JUST bought a new kitty litter box because my dog kept getting "snacks" from the one we had! LoL! How big are your dogs? We bought the kind of kitty litter box that has a top entry for the cats and it seems to be keeping the dog out so far. Let me look up the name of it for you... Ok, it is called Clevercat Top Entry Litterbox. Just in case you decide to keep the other kitten you could look into getting one of those. They aren't cheap but it was worth it for us because my dog was driving me crazy every time he'd getting into the kitty litter. We even had one of the booda domes and he was still getting into it. He'd just climb on in because he could fit in there. He is a miniature schnauzer so he is still kinda small. Good luck!

I'll have to go look at a picture to see if it might work in my case. Jethro is a JRT and can fit into just about anything the cat could. Molly is an inquisitive 65-70 lbs, so she could probably destroy it, LOL.

Hmm, it doesn't look much different than a plastic tote with a hole cut in the lid. What makes this litter box so special? Is there something I can't see in the photo? I can get a good sized plastic tote from WalMart for $5, so if that would work, I'd save $20 over this one.

The only picture I saw was of a calico cat, this is not a breed but rather a color combination. Your cat is a girl, right?

Shady and Oreo - Here is a photo of my cat, Shady, with our new kitten, Oreo. Shady is 7 years old and Oreo is 10 weeks old.
No, my cat is a little boy. Maybe you saw the photo of my other adult cat, Shady. She is calico. Not sure of her breed either though. The photo below is of my cat, Shady, with my kitten, Oreo.

I don't know what to think now. There are several different breeds that look a lot like my new kitten, Oreo. Each time I find one I think THAT is the one! lol

I think I discovered what he is. A Blue Lynx Mitted Ragdoll. You can see the pictures of that breed below... http://ragdollcat.org/blue.html The forth photo down on the page looks a lot like my new kitten.

Thanks! Possibly some siamese in him but I think he is mainly mitted ragdoll with blue lynx points.

Very cute little kitten. Looks like it is a cross between a Persian and Ragdoll. Either way, he is adorable.

Thanks Shar! I think he is definitely more Ragdoll based on the pictures I've seen on the internet while researching it. He is adorable though, that is for sure. :)

Wow, I looked for the picture of your kitten (and I found it) just so I could see what it looked like. I definitely can't help you with what breed it is because I know next to nothing about cats. What I can tell you is that you've certainly got a beautiful kitty. In addition to that, it looks like he is still fairly young, so you will get to see his personality develop. Have a lot of fun with your new family memeber.

That is ok snowqueen. Thanks for responding anyway. Good to hear from you. I think I've narrowed down his breed to a Mitted Blue Lynx Ragdoll.
