Are you the kind of person who pops in a pill everytime you have some pain? Or do you try some alternative medicine?

As Kala says the headache may be due to yr eyes. Very often sitting long hours at the computer also gives us a headache. Some times we do need to go to the doctor even though we hate them!!!!

I avoid popping a pill everytime I am in pain. I first see if the pain goes with some rest. Only if it doesnt I may take a pill or may be go to the doctor.

lol...nope....with a pharmacologist at home...we hardly go to the doctor unless we need medical equipment to be used on us. My husband doesn't believe in treating everything with medicines (though he is in the field)....and he also knows the real components that go into the medicines. So, he gives us the right thing at the right time. And I have to say it's worked for us. We use a mix of allopathic and alternative medicines when necessary.

Hi Mayka, I very rarely go to the doctors so if I ever do they take me seriously if I say something is wrong, I also don't like to take tablets but will go for a herbal rememdy if possible everytime. Huggles. Ellie :D

mayka I do not believe in alternative medicine much as I am a diabetic and I believe in my doctors. if i have pain I will find out why then do whatever is necessary to alleviate it.if its just a headache I will take some ibuprofin and I am fine in a short while. other severe' pains are b est treated by a reputable doctor.

I hate taking medication but if I really need to take something then I will like when I got tendonitis in my ankle or I had a sinus infection earlier this year which nothing else would shift so I went for some antibiotics. If I can manage something myself then I will. Earlier this year I developed an allergy and my eyes swelled shut. I took anti histamines but didn't bother going to the doctors because that's all they would give me. If I absolutely need medication 'll take it but otherwise I'll look for alternatives.

Hi Mayka! I try not to pop up the pills, without consulting my Doctor. I think occasionally, it may be OK to take one of two medicines, else, it is always preferable to go to Doctor and take medicines, as per his prescription.

I am not against doctor.. BUT there's nothing wrong to try alternative medicine when feeling pain or small sickness. could be hardly saying for being dependent to a doctor when feeling down.. consultation fee is very expensive though.

If I am ill, I take a lot of orange juices and water too... I need some "vitamin C" and to make myself active to fighting the illness... I think this is one of alternative ways to practice. If these method does not work, then I proceed to look for a doctor as symptoms persist. The pills are only solution to severe sickness, thus to avoid it we have to give priority to natural medications like for instance having simple headache or body fatigue and muscles ache too. Pills medication is somewhat like varying from circumstances and depending on how the pain is tolerable by the body... if one's fever is so severely affecting the whole body and vital human system then I should say that popping in a pill is important but this is possible only with the doctor's advice through consultation.
