Hello MyLoters. When I wake up in the morning after a sweet dream or a nightmare, all my consciousness and body is filled up with feelings and emotions arose from the dream. However, if I don't begin to think about the events from the dream straight away, almost everything disappears and only the feeling of the experienced, continues to be with me all the day.
What about you? Do you remember your dreams when you wake up? If it's good or bad, which one do you remember it better? Do you have dreams frequently? And what do you dream? Share what you think and you've experienced... Have you had a dream in which something (probably a monster) pursues you, you can't see it, but you run, and it can't catch you.. That's awful. I don't wish anyone to have such a dream.
Haha, and what about the sheets... After a nightmare, I'm at the one corner of the bad, the sheets are at the other and pillows are on the floor. :D

I often don't remeber my dreams which really bugs me, this is why the whole lucid dream thing really interests me, the whole fact that you can control and know what and when you are dreaming. The fine line between Reality and Fantasy.
I've been working on lucid dreaming for about 2 months now, its just one of those things that takes time.
My dream recall has seemed to improve from it, just by simply straight away from waking up after a dream, writing what it was about, its wierd, when i re-awaken in the morning i cannot actually remember having the dream i have written about. The fact of recall from reading about it really does bring it all back to you.
We have about 8-9 dreams while we sleep every night, and usually we only remember the very last one we have, the one where we wake up in the middle of it. only average i remeber about 3 or 4 now and once ive grabbed hold of this concept soon i should be able to understand when i am in a dream or not and change the actions in said dream.
It really is such an interesting prespect for me.

Oh, that's awesome! I want to control this too. I even want to control myself while I'm dreaming, to do the things I want and this would be like a second fantasy world. However, I succeeded only few times to do it, I do not remember now what was the dream, but I was doing what I wanted...
Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, ive suceeded in this a few times, its one of those things you have to be really patient with, but atleast it doesnt take up any more time from your day since your tryin gto do it while your sleeping.

I cant remember the dream I had last night but I can still remember the dream I had the other night. I was able to remember it because I had a dream of the person I really hate. In my dream, she told me I am ugly but in the dream I was able to tell her that she is a ________.

I sometimes speak with my friend about this and he believes that he never dreams and I told him that this cannot be so as everyone dreams and the only problem is that he doesn't remember his dreams upon awakening! For some reason, and I don't know why, I always seem to remember my dreams as ridiculous or absurd as they seem!
I cannot say that I've had any nightmares though, nothing to seriously disturb me during the night! I know this isn't entirely related to your discussion but sometimes I have dreams where I am flying! I've heard that when we sleep we often leave our bodies and when we are having flying dreams it's on these occasions that we are actually experiencing out of body travel! This kind of gives the body a rest as it were!
Anyway, my dreams used to be about family and deceased loved ones! I no longer have these dreams, I suppose it was part of the grieving process! When you say you find your pillow on the floor and the sheets at the other end of the bed, this never happens to me but I believe that we do move a lot during our sleep and you even have your common sleepwalker as well!
Overall I sleep quite well and I've not had a dream, correction, I have been dreaming but I haven't remembered any dreams for the past few weeks. Andrew

When the moment I wake up,I always maintain that memory clearly. But only after several minutes, everything seems gone totally in my mind so that I can remember nothing at all. Things always run like that for me,so I am very surprised at those who can still remember their dreams very clearly even after a long period of time.It is very incredible for me! But thinking in another angle, maybe forgetting dreams is not so bad because some dreams are just nightmares like your experience.

Yeah, I agree with you. However, I noticed that if in the moment I wake up if I try to remember the dream, I'm still able to do it. I still remember much clearer than 2-3 minutes later. And if I remember it immediately, it seems I remember the events very well, "I capture the dream". Do you get it? That's amazing I think.

I remember my dreams pretty well through out the day and it helps if I draw them out. It doesn't seem to matter if they're good or bad.

Yes i do. I remember some of them. Scients say that every person dreams upto 80 dreams every night, but dont remember them. And 99% of the dreams are black or white. But i havnt been remembering dremas for the past few days. this could be due to the tireness during the day.

There are times, when I do remember my dreams, after I wake. However, this is not always the case for me. There are times, when I wake up and try to remember what I just dreamed but simply can't remember for one reason or another.

Sometimes I do, but sometimes I dont. I think it really depends. But most of the team, if I remember a dream right after I wake up, about an hour after that I forget everything about it. But I can still remember two or three dreams I had when I was a kid. I think I only remember the dreams God wants me to remember.

Well I couldn't agree more to what you have experienced because I also had a similar experience myself. But to tell you the truth, there is only one kind of dream that I can really remember almost all of the plot of it. The type that is usually with a sad ending.
The rest is pretty much in my mind only as long as I kept my eyes closed, once they are opened, then it would be the end and there will not be the slightest recollection about it. It is almost like the more consciousness we gain for every moment we are awake the more the memories of the dream we had is drown..

Yes,I often analyse my dreams.Dream is a display of subconscious activity.I can find in dreams the truth covered in daytime experiences. If my dream is not harmonious, that also means my daytime life is not harmonious.Sometimes I can foresee forthcoming events in dreams.I think it comes from our instinctive sense.

hi, i very rarely remember my dreams, the only time i will remember is when if myy partner has to wake me because im having a bad dream, she says sometimes ill be singing crying or shouting, she'll ask me what i was dreaming about as soon as she wakes me up, by morning ive forgotton the whole thing has even taken place until my partner tells me, but i still don't remember the dream.
According to my partner my dreams are about people dying, or her cheating on me or normally something along those lines. As for my sheets they normally damp from me sweating but still on me properly as if ive been sleeping normally!
Weird? Sometimes i have a feeling that ive had a dream and something is there at the front of my mind it almost feels as tho my body wants me to remember but my mind won't let me, it doesnt distract me or anything i just forget about it and carry on with the day as normal

yes.. i do remember most of my dreams - these tend to be the happier and more meanigful dreams...
most of the time i would even feel i need to go the bathroom when i am sleeping and when i wake up, true enough.. i need to pee. ha ha
sometimes i do not have dreams when i sleep..
i do not keep a journal though, but trying to remember them all now, i think i have had several interconnected dreams... like a puzzle that needs to be solved.

Hiya dsplay5,
Those kind of dreams I don´t have very often but when I do have them they stay with me a good part of the Day sometimes.
I don´t remember all of the Dreams but something that happens during the day usually makes me remember the Dream in parts.
Had one dream where I got up really uneasy and I was prompted to go the Computer and turn it on and go to a certain place and there I found out some really bad news for me. In that dream I had I woke up with the memory of an Icon of a Historical Figure in English History and I somehow knew that something was wrong. It was that same thing that took me to the computer and found out the bad news. Sometimes dreams become reality even if you don´t care much for the outcome of the same.
This is not the kind of dream I would wish on anyone either but I knew it was for my good in the end. Otherwise it would have taken me years to find out the bad news that I found online. So I am thankful for that at least.
