there is a scientific reason behind that ....i dont know the exact reason....but my mom tells me that it causes food poisoning in stomach.....for example if we drink milk.....and we eat something with lemon.....then this can cause us food poisoning...milk contains lactic acid and lemon contains citric acid....so they reacts in our stomach and causes hyper acidity and can cause food poisoning also......same thing happens with curd and lemon also....

I have heard that you shouldn't eat acidic foods like oranges with milk because the acid will cause the milk to curdle in the stomach.

Even I do not take Milk with lemon or something with a liberal sprinkling of lemon on it like salad. I also won't have something like a pickle and milk with it.

I also drink milk with almost all foods, but my dad believes that eating mango with milk is bad, and that he won't let me do at all.

I do feel that milk should be avoided with some food stuff. Especially too much salty foods, pickle, lemon sprinkled foods such as salad, and a few more.
I avoid taking milk along with these food and try to give a gap of 2 hours or so.

I can drink meal with any kind of foods, too. Even drink em with my chili. :P But i admit, I've never tried to drink milk with lemon or mango for that matter. But, hey, then mango-refrigerator cake i just had a week ago had milk in it, I`m pretty sure. Didn't give me hyper-acidity, thank God. :)
