In today's fast paced world, kids are facing so much of competition. there are so many over expectant parents who want their child to do everything and also win laurels. how is it possible? why are parents like this? This stress is taking away the child's life.

It sure is. This has been going on for years. I had a nervous break down in my later teens and that was many years ago. I do not know why parents can not encourage without pressuring their children. It takes an awful toll that is so very difficult to over come.

Ya, I am surprised at this generation parents. Even my parents knew not to over pressurize kids for their sake.

My daughter is seven years old right now and she is just now having her first taste of competition in her life by being on the summer swim team. This, I think is healthy for her because I don't think that there is any aspect of our lives that doesn't involve competition to a certain extent. I am not one of those parents that gets upset when she doesn't finish in first place because I think it is equally important to be able to accept defeat in our lives as it is to be victorious.

Hi,
I do agree with you, now a days with competition raising expectations of every parents gets high and no parents wants to see their child leave behind other.
now a days parents are making their child read books aimed at higher level to make fast development in them. Even children today doesn't play game that will help them develop physically because mental pressure is so much that take every bit of energy out of kid.
I think study structure should be change in this scenario.
