Where do your dogs sleep at night?

Our family has two big dogs and two small dogs. The miniature pinschers sleep beside us in our beds, while the retrievers have their own spaces outside. We live in an apartment, which is why space is a huge factor in where they sleep at night. Our golden retriever used to sleep beside my narrow single bed when he was a puppy. Now him and the labrador are too big to fit in my room!
So, where do your dogs sleep at night? Beside you, or not? Inside, or outside the house? Please share why, too!
(Below is Coco, one of our minpins, sleeping on top of my yellow butterfly blanket :D)

We have a Yorkie and he is 6 months old. We started off trying to let him sleep with us but after the second night it wasn't happening any more. I got one of those travel fold up crates and he now sleeps in it every night. Of course it is in our bedroom.
Keep smiling.

Oh yes they do. Koli likes to sleep in his bed. We recently tried to let him sleep with us and he was restless all night. As he gets older I will advance him to a special bed to where he isn't boxed up.

I have three dogs, and since I live in the country and there are a LOT of wild animals that would attack the dogs they sleep in the house.
The two mini dachshunds sleep in their enclosure. I have a water bed so they aren't allowed to sleep on it, and if they're allowed to roam loose in the house they get into too much trouble.
The pit/lab mix sleeps on her blankets beside my bed. The previous owners allowed the dog to sleep in bed with them, which isn't my style. Especially since the dog is huge and weighs over 70 pounds. Again it is also the fact that I have a water bed and she would destroy it the first time she jumped on it. (I have problems with her and clipping her nails. She gets really ugly about it and will bite anyone trying to clip them.) The other factor is that the pit/lab mix also can let rip with some horrible smelling farts...at least if she's sleeping on the floor the smell isn't up close and personal!

My cousin's Akita would let gas pass that could clear rooms! So I can relate to that :)

The roomie's dog sleeps in the bathroom after she woke us up going after a cat several nights in a row. My dog either sleeps behind the roomie's door or on a chair in the kitchen. The other roommate's dog I think sleeps in her bed.
I sleep with cats, there is no room on my bed for a dog too.

Must be different sleeping beside cats as opposed to dogs! :)

Hi Goldenkagi!.
I have one dog at home, the one you see at my avatar. Its mix breed, when first time I get it home I put him in my room but he keep whinny all night and end up make not make sleep for 2 night. After two day I let him sleep outside my room for that time and the rest.

Coco thanks you for your compliment! My aunt's dog is like that, she'll fuss and be loud until she gets let inside!

My Sundance has the tendency to destroy things too! Aside from him being really big, he leaves a wake of destruction when he has his "moments". :) We have to watch him closely when he's allowed in.

I have two, one a two-year old Japanese Spitz and a 7-month old Aspin. They have their own quarter outside of my home. Although I love these dogs, I never let them sleep inside my house, much more in my room. Their place is really outside and they have their own jobs to do - watchdog, they have to watch my house for some intruders, be it a human being, a fellow dog, or any thing that passes by.

I have two Maltese girls, weighing 5 and 7 pounds. The 7-pounder usually sleeps curled around my head on my pillow. The smaller one normally sleeps curled up against my chest. That's not bad and I certainly don't mind it but I also have a cat who has taken to sleeping against my back so I'm not able to turn over. I wake up and have to throw animals all over the place before I can get out of bed.

My boy Milo used to sleep on my chest; now he curls up on my side or at my legs. It's easier to move around or turn over since he isn't on top of me anymore :)

My dog is spoiled. He sleeps during the day on the couch next to me... if we're not home, he sleeps on my bed. At night when we go to sleep, he will either start out next to my husband or snuggled at his feet or my feet then he gets cold & wakes up & nudges me so I lift the covers for him. Last week, it was so hot that I slept without covers but he wanted them so he sat on my head to wake me up to get the covers for him ;-)

We have 2 dogs now, 1 is a different dog than in my pic., the big Black 1 on the left has passed on.
these 2 dogs slept on the main floor most of the time. We recently pick up a Standard Poodle, apricot in color and my wife's suckie. Red nail polish and groomed up like a poodle. She is 15 weeks old...she sleeps on our bed..

We also live in an apartment, so the dog sleeps inside.
She has a big armchair of her own, and she sleeps there. When she feels hot, she sleeps on the floor.
When she was a few months old, she used to sleep in her crate, but she grew up and now she doesn't want to sleep in the crate any more.
She sometimes sleeps in bed with me during the day, but at night she allways goes to her place, in the armchair. I don't know why she does this, my other dog didn't sleep in bed with me at night, either.

They must want you to be even more comfortable! I have to admit, sometimes, it's hard to sleep without moving because of so many dogs :)
