hello neleene. i don't think it is nessecary for you to change the battery after used more then one year. my battery has used for five years. and it is still working alright. so do you do something improperly to damage the battery? find out and make sure you wouldn't do that again.

hi neleene, It is not good to remove your battery and use direct plug connection as it power goes you system will shut down which is improper shut down..finally leading to crash. I am on gamin laptop, and unfortunatly the battery it terrible, only 4 hours! I have to be connected to a wall socket all the time. My suggestion for you is to get a new battery. Is your warranty on your laptop (I am assuming the battery you are using now came with your laptop) expired? You could claim that a defect Is affecting performance.

only 4 hours? that's still too long for me..my batt can only last for 2 hours prior to its poor condition...my warranty had ended already... =(

Well if you connect your battery charging and you use your laptop then it would slow down you lifetime of he battery and then if you continue to do so it will probably be the slowest battery. My friend's laptop just give him 15 minuted of battery performance so it gets damaged.

well, my laptop battery currently stands for 2 hours long. but that after i calibrated the battery. by using it until it empty (i switch on the laptop on the bios screen only, so that when it shuts down by itself, it wouldnt damage my OS) and then i charged it on off state. after its full, my battery works like that. before this calibration, my battery only lives for 30 minutes!

My laptop is not new. Right now perhaps the battery can't last over half an hour. I think the best way is not plug the laptop all the time. It will be better for the battery. Just plug it when the battery almost runs out. I love China

I agree with raviteja. I think the best way is to plug in and use without the battery in place. By including the battery while charging, it would reduce the lifetime of the battery. Or if there is a must to do that, do not overcharge. That's what I think it is. Otherwise, let's see what others have to say.
