Yeah I recall hearing about this on a television program, I believe it turned out that she had changed her birth date and wasn't really that old. I don't know, she looked quite old but you never know. Some people are very good at looking after themselves so who knows.

This is a very long time for her to live. She is just like a history book. I am not quite sure how long time I want to live. But at least I would like to see my grand children:) I love China

Whoa! That's really a long time. I don't want to live that long though. I wonder what that woman always had in mind when she turned a hundred years old...

If I'm healthy, why not?

I think that is wonderful. I wouldn't mind living that long. As long as I could still feed myself, dress myself and go to the bathroom by myself then I would be happy.

Hi cher! I didn't know that there was anyone anywhere that lived to be that age! And I wouldn't want to be that old even if I was still in relatively good health, who else would be around that I still knew?

I wasn't aware of this story, and I'm fairly sure I hadn't heard of someone living this long before..looking online to follow up,I can only see records that have been verified of people who have lived to be up to 122.how did this Woman slip through the Guinness world records net?! Was there some doubt as to verification of the claim?

Hi Cher, Wow that is quite some age but people do seem to be living longer so a possibilty, not sure ojn what the oldest recorded is at present. I would only want to live that long if I had all my senses and was in good health. Huggles. Ellie :D

Wow! I had absolutely no idea that anyone had lived that long! I didn't think that it was even possible for someone to live until their 130th birthday. well, now I know that it actually is. I really don't think that I would want to live that long. That's too old for my liking.

Good grief! There's no way I'd want to live that long, not unless the aging process can be stopped and reversed! It sucks that, as we age, our bodies fall apart but our brains are as active as ever. I want to do so much and always have been a busy person but I'm unable to do half of what I used to do. I can't imagine getting worse and worse while living even to 100. I try not to let my limitations bother me but they do. If I were unable to do anything because of aging, I'd be totally miserable. So, nope, I wouldn't want to live anywhere NEAR that long! Now, as for her actually being that age, it could be true. There are exceptions to every "rule" and she simply could have had an exceptional genetic makeup to allow her to live that long.

Wow, it must have been too tiresome already to live that long. Some folks would even joke that you would already smell like earth when you've grown too old. But it that is true, they should have gotten tips from them on how she is able to live that long.

This is probably the oldest that I have known someone to live. Given the number of people who have surface who have lived long into old age, it seems plausible. I don't know if I would to live that long. Could my mind cope with the changes that would occur between now and 2090?
