Nowadays there are so many different options for renting movies. You can rent in a movie store, at a rental machine outside of the grocery store and through the mail.
How do you rent your movies? Maybe you rent multiple ways, which do you prefer?
My husband and I prefer renting through the mail! We recently got Netflix and love it! They also have this awesome feature that allows you to stream movies through your PS3 straight to your TV so you can have movies instantly, it's great!

My local library has tons of free movies, so I get them from there since I don't have to pay anything and I get to keep them for two weeks.

Is your library able to request movies from other libraries? Mine does.

I've been with Netflix for about 12 years. I started using Redbox about 6 months ago. I have reason to believe Redbox is going to start an online watch much like Netflix. I've been extremely happy with Netflix!!! I like the price of Redbox & the almost convenience when new movies first come out. Redbox puts out their new movies before Netflix does. However, I like Netflix for the inventory of ALL movies available. So far with Redbox they haven't had very many good old movies...instead of sticking with the new releases. I also like with Redbox that I can go online & see what movies are available at ALL the locations near me. If I find something I like, I can reserve it online & just need to pick it up before 9:00 pm. The other good thing with Redbox is that I have 2 machines within 2 miles of my house. The only drawback is when I need to return one before 9:00 pm & don't feel like going out. Redbox has been real good at emailing me FREE promo codes too. My Netflix has a 2 day turnaround time...one day out & one day back. I would love to watch some movies online through Netflix, but my computer is old & just can't keep up. I don't want it bad enough to buy a new computer!!!

Netflix is the best I love them. I not only rent movies but I also like to rent tv shows. I can watch classics and current shows. I love watching them in order and no commercials. Netflix is the only way to go. You can pick your plan and you can keep them as long as you like. I usually have them for one week and watch them over the weekend. I haven't tried Blockbuster but for now I have no reason to switch. The selection is great and that is why so many Hollywood Video and Blockbuster stores are going out of business. The stores themselves do not have a great selection. On line you have thousands to choose from I get them in a couple days and have been very happy witht their service. I only had one disc that didn't work. I sent it back and got one that was clear with no problems. I always recommend Netflix to all my friends. And now that movie prices are getting way out of hand I would rather wait for the DVD with the lower price and all of the bonus features.

I don't rent movies. I get it for free. So I can watch it over and over. And so there will be no hassles returning it. I have big enough hard disk to store hundreds of them and I can always delete it if I didn't like it.

I tried netflix but blockbuster movies got to me way faster. So I rent movies blockbuster by mail. It's just like netflix. I never did get to try the streaming movies through the wii though. I don't think blockbuster has that. Anyway, renting movies through the mail is what I prefer. Occasionally I will buy pay per view movies but not very often.

I am still old skool and we go to our local movie store to rent them...we just got a new Family Video movie rental store put in and they have quite a selection and are cheap as well as having a free kids corner so that is how we normally get them but there are also some times when we rent them from the cable with Video On Demand...

I rent movies through netflix because in my mind its the best option to rent movies. there very fast and have a huge selection of movies to watch, not only that you can get a huge selection of movies and tv shows on demand and if you own an xbox 360 or wii or something that has netflix its great I love it. The whole ondemand service its what truly makes netflix so much better then the rest.

I remember when I was younger and always looked forward to trips to Blockbuster. Beyond that, I've never used another rental location. I download my movies online now, although my fiance does use netflix.

It's rare I rent movies at a store like Blockbuster nowadays. It's just way overpriced in my opinion. I like using those machines outside of grocery stores, the redbox things. It's super cheap as long as you take the movie back the same night, but even then if you take it back the next day it's only $2 instead of like $5 that it would have cost at Blockbuster. I have a few friends that use Netflix and they really enjoy it. But for me, I tend to go with the internet and stream movies instead of paying to rent them haha.

i rent movies nowadays through red box. the movies are cheap for a dollar a day to watch it is a great way to save money. it does have its disadvantage of being back on time or keeping it an extra day costs another dollar. not all movies are available but the new releases are always out that make it even worth renting for a dollar than three to four dollars from blockbuster or so.

I love movies and I have a lot of time for them on a Friday night! There are so many different ways that you can rent movies these days but I guess the easiest way to rent movies is online now! I know that some people still use high st stores like blockbuster video or any other video store but this is an out of date method now!
I subscribe to lovefilm.com and I like the fact that it's cheap and it also allows you to rent as many dvds as you want and there are no fees to pay if you are late in returning the movies. I think you have different subscription options with them and I generally go for the cheapest option due to money issues etc.
You are lucky in that you have the psp console, I don't have that facility as yet but it's in the pipeline let's say! I just bought an apple ipod touch though and you can also rent or buy movies for this device! I've tried this and I'm absolutely amazed at the quality of the content and the movies available from itunes. Anyway, watching movies is a favourite pastime of mine and as I mentioned, Friday nights are the best time for me, I like to take in that infamous horror movie and allow my imagination to run wild.
