What's the best diet that worked for you?

I tried a lot of diet simply because I gain weight only in my tummy and my chin. lol. It looks weird. haha.. I'm slim all over yet I have a fat tummy and fat chin. Really ugly... haha... Just don't try to imagine that, anymore. For me what really worked was when I stopped eating unhealthy snacks. You know those chips and cookies and chocolates that you eat while watching tv or surfing the net. I noticed like after a week, I loosed those belly fats. If your snacking try a good sandwich instead or some fruits. It worked for me. How about you?

Carrot juice was the nice one that worked for me..
it reduces fats, and cleans the blood
it may also give you glowing skin
and milk should be a regular part of diet

Hi! How does it taste like? Do you just use a blender and add some water? Let me know. Thanks!

I too have my weight on my tummy...I do not diet, as i dont eat much food. I have started to exercise on my tummy. I have started doing crunches and pushups to reduce the fats from my tummy.

I used to do yoga exercise before, now I just can't find time or rather I'm kinda lazy, lol. I guess exercise and balanced diet is really the key.

I always have a hard time losing weight on my own. I should always have a competitor because that challenges me.
One which worked for me was a riceless diet. I lost much in 2 weeks. I had two friends who dieted with me so it worked. But it was very uncomfortable. My skin was always cold and clammy, sometimes I was shaky and my concentration span got poorer.
I stopped. And I regained my weight.

For me to lose weight, I've found that the best thing that I can do is to start really moderating what I'm eating. I like to eat a lot of things that are not so good for me, but I've also found that I have a tendency to gorge myself when I have the opportunity to eat those things that I've cut out of my diet, so instead I will allow myself to have the treats that I enjoy, but I won't eat nearly as much of them as I used to eat.

When my sister sent me a message regarding her high level of bad cholesterol, I started dieting. My diet compose of half cup of rice, a lot of banana fruits (saba), and a dish of fish or boiled egg in the morning. For lunch, half cup of rice with fish or lean meat ( pork or chicken) stew and banana. In the evening, one fourth cup of rice plus a certain dish and again banana fruit. As I do this for a week now, I observed that my weight is lighter and it's easy for me to move. Sometimes I eat snacks but light and if it's a bread I add it to the rice. I mean if I take half of rice the regular meal, I lessen it making it one fourth because of the bread I'm eating. I didn't do some exercise because for me working with household chores is more than an exercise. Congrats for making it successful.

You know I heard some artist just go for saba and hard boiled egg for a week or too. I don't think I can do that lol. But, your diet seems good. Half cup of rice seems to work for me too.

I just cut down on everything... I still eat unhealthy snacks from time to time, but I found by cutting down on portion sizes and eating my main meal of the evening before 6pm, I lost 2 dress sizes, and I don't exercise. I don't class it as a diet, it's just something that I have done to change myself and it worked for me.

Your right, cutting down on portions of food you eat works well too. Thank you for sharing!

The best diet I've had that really worked is depression. When I was depressed I couldn't eat and sleep so I lost about fifteen to twenty pounds. I am now trying to maintain that weight that I have lost because I am tired of being fat. I also lose a lot of weight when I do brisk walking. I just can't do it here in my subdivision where I live because there are quite a few stray dogs and I want to do this early morning.

The best thing that helped me lose weight was cutting back and changing somethings. Instead of whole milk we switched to reduced, other things we were buying fat free and reading labels. I would still have cookies and chips but you just have to limit yourself and they were the fat free brands. Don't go sit down with the whole bag. Read the label it tells you how much per serving and get only that amount. Drink alot of water. Its hard the first week but when you do get hungry drink water first. Eat 5 meals. Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack and dinner. Try and do some kind of excerise even if its just a little bit. Like dance to a favorite song while cooking or with your kids, swim, go window shopping in the mall. I found b/c I was changing what I was eating it was easier to keep the weight off longer then with the other diets I have tried. You really have to want to lose weight. Reward yourself on the weekend we would go out to eat 1 time. Still order water instead of a soft drink.

The best diet that worked for me was constant exercise and fruits for breakfast. One summer I went to work with my mother and she worked at a bed and breakfast and her hours was from 8 am to 12 am so I had four hours of exercise each day. We were always in a rush in the morning so I would only eat fruits so we could leave the house faster. After two months, I had lost 15 pounds.

Scarsdale medical diet. It's a low carb diet designed by a heart doctor in the seventies. It's a crash diet, though, and people who are interested in it should consult their doctors first. And it requires a looooot of discipline. Can't do it now that I'm working.

Diets don't work, you need a life style change. Diets have a set time that they begin and that they end. You're life doesn't work that way. I've read "What Would Jesus Eat?", I know what you might be thinking....really I'll skip it. Don't, skip it that book contains excellent information about the foods your body needs. I've also done the Burn and Cleanse by Jullian Michaels, used the Beachbody program and purchased some supplements from Andrew Lessman. So far I've lost almost 40 lbs in 6 months time. I don't recommend anything to anyone that I have not used or have not had success with.

I've tried laxative teas. It worked, however when I saw my improvements, I stopped drinking it and started to eat again thinking that eating won't add more fats if I will just control myself. But then again, it's not! Now, I am back with my regimen and have learned my lessons.. :)

any food that is less in purine content, as it can trigger uric acid in high contents that will make my joints and muscle ache for pain.
I think i have a gout, (by symptoms)as i did not seek any medical practitioner to confirm, all I did is to narrow down my intake, especially peanuts before i eat a lot of peanuts everyday, now very seldom and most of the pains got away.

Yes, to stop eating snacks is a really good way, that worked for me too. And not eating too late at night as well!
