We all know that Mayor Binay won the vice presidential race over Sen. Mar Roxas in the last May 2010 Election. But for Mr. Palengke, its not yet over, he already submit his Electoral Protest together with his numerous allegation about fraud, anomalies, irregularities and statistical improbabilities in more than 3 Regions that se's to be his major bailiwicks.
Only 727,084 votes made Binay to won the VP Race, but as per PPCRV there are more than 2.6 million null votes are expected to be counted. They also said that Electoral Protest took more than 3-5 years to process and will waste more than millions of money. If Roxas pursue his protest what would he possible get? Is it his Pride or there is Anomaly?

Well for one the difference between the two counts are just too near each other. I think it is his right to have the counting check to clear his issues out. Well I have no qualms if he would protest for as long as his claims and evidences are correct and accurate to prove his point out.

But electoral protest takes 3 or 5 more years in the process? If he wins after 3 to 5 years he still loose the position? If he loose he loose too much time, effort and lots of money,.

Well that is the gamble he is taking for now. I think in the senate there is a similar scenario happening in Pimentel's case vs. Sen. Zubiri. There is a probability that Zubiri might get booted out of his office if Pimentel wins in the recount. Zubiri being on the side of the Arroyos in the past would mean he might get helpless now that administration has changed and would not easily get favors from them.

Hi Mychickencurry,
I would have wanted Mar Roxas to win over Binay, but now that the winners were proclaimed and have already taken oath, I think Roxas should move on. Filing for an electoral protest would just make him look a bad loser who doesn't know how to accept defeat. He is a good politician, he should bank on that, work harder, help the government realize big changes, and do something good the people will remember in the next 6 years. That for sure will strengthen his bid for the next presidential election. And by the way, welcome to myLot!

Hello there,
He is wasting his time, just like what Loren Legarda did when he lost to Noli De Castro. look, she lost her second time to run and still the count is not yet finish, giving that, how long before Mr. Palengke could cope up with the expenses in doing the recount. his wasting his time and money, am glad i didn't vote for him. Erap stop the protest how come Mar isn't. he would lose money on this matter, he should just forget about it.

You're right, he should instead use his money to help and solve other country issue's than insisting to fight in this long long kind of battle.
