Since, everything is almost found in the internet and it seems like it's just one or two clicks away, do you still have some time to read books to get information or new knowledge? Do you still read books for recreation, past time, relaxation, etc.?
It's just these days a lot of malls are selling books in lower prices because no one buys them. A lot of books have been on sale lately.
Hope you'll give your insights about this. Take Care and have a nice day.:D

I love books, real books I mean not online books. I wouldn't really want an ipad for books. I have nothing against virtual books I just prefer the experience fo a real book. I wish I had more time to read. I work a fair amount as well as being a full time student at school. I spend almost all my time working, in class or doing homework. I hope that books never completley go out of style.

i love the feel and smell of an old book! There is nothig quite like the smell of an old book. I find it harder to concentrate on what I am reading when it is on a computer screen then when it is in front of me in paper form. I love curling up in bed with hot chocolate reading a book!
I am studying textile design! It's amazing.

I read for all the reasons you've listed. Yes, the Internet is great, but for every informative website there's a botched editing job on Wikipedia to go with it.
Personally, I think it would be a sad day if we relied completely on e-books and online materials. Having said that, I can imagine kids in 50 years reeling back in horror when I explain what a book was. "What? You had to use PAPER?!!"

Hi ScambledBrains! :)
I agree with you. I would be sad too if that happens. But, it wouldn't happen if there are still people who read books despite of how accessible and convenient the internet and other products of modern technology are.

Yes, I still do read books, newspapers, magazines, practically anything on print.
though we have access in the internet it can never be compared to getting a good book and enjoy it while having a cup of coffee or just lying in bed. With internet, it is difficult to do that not to mention that it will cost you more on the lectric bills. :-)
Plus, I have a daughter. I don't want her to neglect the importance of reading. As a child I want to instill to her that reading is very important. Giving her books to read are the safest way to teach her what to read. Internet can be destructive sometimes to the young minds.
My daughter will not understand that I'm reading if I just stare at the monitor. For her, I am just watching tv. But when you hold a book or a newspaper, she knows that I am reading. :-)

Yes,today i don't buy book very often for lack of money, book is so expensive...
But ,book is book which internet can not replace. Read book just like eating a big meal, but internet is food just for hungry.

Unfortunately i don`t really have time to read, i am in last year of college, and in the past 3-4 years, the only books i have read were the speciality books for college. I can say that the internet is an distraction from the books. On internet you find many documentaries, and reviews that you find interesting, or you can see a movie, the possibilities are infinite. Between internet and books, many people choose internet.

to tell you the truth, i don't find time to read books anymore. i'm usually just watching TV, surfing the net or playing the piano these days. even though i'd really appreciate a good book, i can't bring myself to read one because i know i won't be able to concentrate on it due to the school work we constantly have. i usually read books during vacation to avoid interruptions caused by homework & projects :D

of course i still do! if ever i had a chance to go to bookstores.i certainly read books there.yeah,i'd pick those books that interest me then read it there.for free!hehe
i am not that person who usually buys books, but i loved reading much than purchasing one, lol! yeah,it feels relaxing to read a book, educational self help or cooking foods.anything that catches my attention.
really spend an hour or two in a bookstore to read there.i love learning new things.things that ponder my knowledge and capture my heart for a while.feels nice to explore books of different stories.sometimes reading makes me feel young also.

You are right. All kinds of readings are already available online. But I still want to read books, because it doesn't strain my eyes even if I read for many hourse. Unlike when reading in front of the monitor, it really gives me headache when I used if for prolonged hours. I usually buy used books which are still in good condition and of course cheaper.

Yes I do still read books. I still read novels, although lesser as compared before when internet is not yet everywhere. Though there are ebooks/e pocketbooks now, I just read them when I travel, I still find it more accessible reading on books/paper.
