Hi to increase your muscle mass is not easy work.It can be done for years of hard work at the gym.A lot of scientists have different points of view how to train effectively your muscles and increase their shape until unrecognizability.Take a look at this article it should give you the main things that you must know. All the rest is to find how your body approve your trainings and in some words to outwit your organism and make it stronger in all ways:

one of the things you consider in making your routine (workout/diet) is to determine what type of your body you'll fall to, endomorph, mesomorph, ectomorph...based on your problem i guess you are ectomorph (skinny or with less lean mass), if your are you should concentrate on gaining weight in the formof good lean muscle tissue, weight training should be done but not too often or for too long each session, weight should be fairly heavy and workout pace slower (longer rest periods between sets), diet should be high in calories (good quality food not junk) and you should eat more then you're used to and often, aerobic and othe activities (sports, dancing, etc.) should be kept to a minimum, at least until you are happy with your weight and looks...you can check the image i attached, pump it bro!!
