Are you a pillow fluffer?

A good soft and fluffy pillow is always nice to sleep on. Like those pillows that they have at those expensive hotels...so very nice and fluffy.
I’ve been such a fan of nice fluffy pillows ever since my parents taught me how to fluff up my pillow before I go to bed. It somehow makes the sleeping experience much more comfy and cozy... and the sleep feels much better too. Until today, I’m convinced it’s because of the pillow.
Are you one who likes to have fluffy pillows? Or are you the type that can simply lie down on your bed regardless how your pillow is?

Absolutely. Feather pillows eventually bunch up and polyester fill seems to flatten.
Without fluffing, my neck seems to be at an odd angle, I guess my head is not sinking into the pillow and my neck is not getting support. Polyester is the hardest to fluff as you have to beat it in from the sides and top/bottom.
I also wash my pillows occasionally too, even the feather pillows. Apparently you are supposed to throw them away after two years because of dust mite infestation.

oh yes...absolutely correct! without putting it too eloquently, dust mites would totally take over the insides of a feather stuffed pillow in about two years.. and we wouldn't want to have a pillow like that, especially if we have allergies and stuff.
we need to take care of our fluffy pillows, and the cozy fluffy pillows will take care of us...well, something like that

Bro, I like those soft but not fluffy type of contouring pillows..those that support the next and head delicately, that sort of thing..
I don't like hard pillows, they make my neck stiff.. mine must be those support pillow types, LOL..
I do fluff up my pillows though.. good method that your parents taught..

yeah...i would like to try those kind of pillows out, but they do seem a tad out of my price range. i've seen some cool pillows also that says the have 'space age' technology to help me sleep better at night...
i wonder how would that work

I have nothing to do with the pillows---i can sleep comfortably irrespective of them being hard like stones and soft like do not ask me lol
i would go for soft ones as they keep you at ease all night

hiya bughost
what i do is.. i take the pillow in both hands, hold it lengthwise (on the longer side of the pillow, and grab both sides with both hands). then just act as if you're clapping your hands while your pillow is in between them. do it a couple of times and the pillow will be all nice and fluffy. straighten out the pillow casing and pat out the lumpy bits. lay your head on it and be prepared for one of the most cozy-est experiences that man has had the pleasure of enjoying..

hi cream
i used to get those sort of pillows...but then all the fluffyness just ran out on me. i had to resort to some 'manual' fluffing to maintain that fluffy pillow of mine

Hi mario! I've never had a fluffy pillow that I didn't sink
into an I hate those feathery ones because they poke you in
the face and that hurts! I have 3 broke azz pillows now that
need to get thrown out and replaced! In fact the cheap azz
bf/roomy was asking about pillows last night and I told him
to go by his own! I have two brand new ones waiting for me
in the corner for when I'm ready to break them in!

hiya Opal..
you broke your pillow? that's one hard sleeping experience there just kidding dear...hehe..
i'm just addicted to the comfortableness that a fluffy pillow gives me at night. it really helps me get some good sleep. but then, we all have our own special ways now don't we.. hehe..

I always have to fluff my pillow up every night before I go to bed, and if I get up during the night for any reason I fluff it again before I lay back down. My husband just jumps in bed and lies down, half the time he ends up not even on his pillow by the middle of the night, I don't know how he sleeps like that!

I like to fluff my already fluffy pillow so that it becomes fluffier and fluffiest..lol. When I was a kid, I could never have a sound sleep if I wouldn't have 2 or more fluffy pillows - one for the head, two for the sides, and one under my feet. As I grew up, the number of fluffy pillows kept on decreasing as the number of person sleeping kept on increasing haha..well, only one person added. He is more of like a pillow fluffer than I am. When I have allergies, I really make sure it's fluffed first just to make me feel comfortable even with the agonizing itch or sore that I feel in the nose. When it is just a normal day, I can even sleep without a pillow under my head. =)

ever since i invested in some nice big fluffy pillows all those years ago, the nights have always been comfy and i haven't used a foam pillow since. but if i had to use one, i might just mush it up a bit too.. nothing beats a nice, soft and puffy one for me

My hubby can be like that. He is particular about his pillows. But me - nahhhh. I can sleep on a rock if I had to. I do like rather flat pillows - not the fat ones because they sort of hurt my neck when I sleep. But mostly, if I am tired, I can sleep anywhere and it doesn't matter where I'm sleeping. Once before we were married, we were "cheap" and slept in the car when we went on vacation. I had no problem sleeping, but hubby didn't enjoy his non-sleep at all - hee hee.

I'm a pillow stacker, if a pillow is too flat instead of trying to fluff it I just grap another pillow and stack until its juusst right. :)

I love soft, fluffy pillows! Not the wimpy kinds though, the kind that you sink into, but it does fully support your head and neck. Too bad my current pillow is only getting flatter every night, boo. I want to invest in a nice, fluffy down pillow, but I have to make sure that they were made in a humane way!
