Do you have Migraine Associated Vertigo? If so, how long have you had it, and what led to your being diagnosed? I was sick with undiagnosed MAV for more than twenty years before I was finally diagnosed in 2007.

Oh my word. I don't believe I have just found this post. Really you can have Migraine Associated Vertigo? I have Migraine, but didn't know about this condition. I have been to an emergency doctor over serious pain and was given these wafer tablets but, never my ordinary doctor cause I usually just put up with it. My mum and brother both have Migraine and it runs in the family, but I didn't know you could get Vertigo because of it. Last night I felt so ill. I had a banging migraine because it was thundering and I find I get it more when this happens. However something else was happening as well. The room was spinning. It was like I was on a fairground ride and could not stop the spinning. It was horrible and I felt so sick. After reading this I know think that this is the condition I could have. Looks like I need to get to the doctors about it. Wow. Thanks for opening my eyes to this condition.

I forgot to mention that, according to my headache specialist, migraine is one of the most common causes of vertigo yet a lot of doctors miss it.
