My first name is Mark and it's very common. Yah you're right, and for sure you have a lots of friends named Mark too, can you count how many Mark you know?
When I was in Grade school I always have classmate with the same first name as mine. Same thing happen, when I went in High School till I graduate in College. I have never experienced having a class/group without the same name as mine. Even right now that I'm working, I still even have the same First name and Last name like mine. (OMG?)
Have you ever think of changing you're name? or have you ever wished of having different name than what you have right now? If I will be given a chance I precisely will. How about you?

In China, we use a full name with both first name and real name, and we call each other the full name, so it's not easy to find one who have a same name with you~

There's a commercial I remember, I think it's like FedEx or something like delivery service. Where a Chinese man need to deliver a box to a certain person but he gets in trouble because the name written in that box is very common. It makes him very confused like there were hundreds of people in that factory with that same name.
I don't know if someone here knows about that commercial?,.

No because I really love my name Melissa. It means Greek honey bee. Thankfully I really love my name and would never change it. I am thankful to my parents for calling me Melissa because it is a really lovely name. I nearly got called Naomi which I do not really like.

Hi my chicken curry: I think that Mark is a nice name and actually I think that what makes you a special person is not only your name... i's you as a whole so I think you don't need to worry because of this similarities. When I was studying, there was a boy that was named just as I do. But for me that was like a funny situation and I don't take it as a negative thing. Anyway, thanks for sharing with us your feelings. Have a nice day.

I wish I could change mine. But it would take a lot of paper work to do and dealing with some government agencies. I wish to change my name from Merced to Summer because I love nature. Well anyway is a unique name because the common name is Mercedes.

Ur right, it would take much time and would cost you too much money. Mercedes is a beautiful name, but it would be a great choice replacing it to Summer. I love nature too.

I hate, hate my real name. That is why I use Sarah Ruth Beth here. this is the name I wish I were born with this name. The problem with y real name isd Everybody gets it wrong. There are many ways to say it and spell it. I spend most of my time defending a name I wish I never had! it is my mom's favorite girl name and my mom named me Before I was even an idea! Now that she is gone, I am stuck with this name. But at least I feel more like Sarah inside. Before it would hurt having to explain how to say or spell my name. now I really don't care.It is just a name I use for legal things and work. I'm really Sarah.

The name given to us is filled with full of love from our parents.May be they have made a good research and finally came to a good name selected by both Mother and Father.
Hence,I like that and will not change under any circumstances.

My birth Name is Belinda, most of my friends says its an old woman's name, but I love it. Although I use different names through out my life.. most originated from my birth name just to make it short. I usually encounter people like you and I use to call them by their surname instead or if me and that person is close, I usually give them pet names. ^.^

yes i did try to change my last name. My complete name is Edward Rodrigues. Someone who was calculating numerology asked me to add another R in my last name. As i dont believe in numerology and horoscope i chose to ignore it.

That person who told you to add another letter on your last name, did he already did that to someone else that end up in good result?

Well, my name is kirby and it is not very common I must say and even though is sounds childish and is connected to a kid's video game character, I have come to get used to it already and it's sort of unique anyway so I don't think I would want to change my birthname.

When I was a child I did change it for a while. People annoyed me so much when it came to my first name that for a few weeks I would only answer to my middle name.

Hi Mr Mark, i don't agree with your ideas. Although everyone wants to be an unique one in this world, name is just an symbol. The more important thing for us is to live an uncommon life and colorful life. Maybe there are 20 Marks in your surroundings, but you , only this Mark has his own special charactersiric, which makes him stand out of the many Marks. have a nice day

Yes! I hope so but I don't blame my mom's best friend for giving me her first name Merlinda which is common as well in our country. For the reason that she cannot have any children not even a single one so she agrees to have that name for best friend's sake and because my mom loves her.Not to mention but I honored my Godmother's name old fashion though but its sounds good and sounds like merlin the hand magician he he he just kidding!LOL!.Supposed to be my mom said before that they would like to call me lenile samantha an extra ordinary name.Oops! But not quite samantha is common but lenile is not which includes in my sign name even just here in the net I could used it. same with my last name and everybody is implying of someone I do not know but glad to know. That's life acceptable.
