In the Philippines they have this term "lumay" (actually, in Cebu) which is like a love potion. However, it doesn't only refer to a potion, but a spell and the like.
People say this is true and does exist. I couldn't verify it myself because I haven't tried being hypnotized (?) or so by the such.
What do you think guys?

I'm not sure if its true but you know my sister have tried it and she said it works. Her bf had left her when she got pregnant and they never had communication since then. When her child was 6 yrs old, she saw a love potion featured in a newspaper or magazine. Out of curiosity, she tried it to her ex-bf. She said she was not really expecting that it would be effective but after some days, she was so surprised that her ex-bf came right in front of her to ask for forgiveness. They've been together for quite some time but later she realized that she have to set the guy free coz at that time, the guy is already married.

I dont believe in those love potions or other things like that but I want them to really exist and become effective. There's one person that I want to use that potion with and its not love potion that i want to use, its a un-love potion. lol I think I am going to be a bad witch if I were one. hehe! just kidding

Haha, I've heard of that! Not in any detail, but it's been brought up by a friend of mine once or twice. Does it actually include hypnotism? Of who? You, or the person you like?
I don't actually know if love potions exist because love potions are too specific, don't you think? It makes the object of your affection "fall in love" with you in case they already don't, and most stories that feature them don't take into consideration any other factors. A potion, ingested, and that solves the problem of unrequited love.
If it was just something basic, like maybe make you more attractive to your oblivious object of affection, then I think I qualify perfumes in that category. Perfumes are made to enhance your natural pheromone, after all (which is why there are perfumes we love the smell of and perfumes we hate the smell of: it reacts to our own body chemicals), so a liquid that can enhancement to your own appeal can be something like a love potion, methinks.

Maybe it do exist but I don't really believe it because I was never a victim of love potion. Maybe some do fall in love using the so called love potion because of the personality of the person but not because of the portion. Maybe it is just coincidence if that kind of situation happens.

love potions? i don't think so!
but i do think that whoever has been doing that or using that is such a desperate one.
i think if you really love a person, you wanted to receive love from him/her from the bottom of your heart.who needs love potion when you can make them fall for you?
it's just a matter of seducing!hehe

Yes, I totally agree with you annavi23.
He/she must be a desperate one if he/she needs the potion to make other loves he/she.

In my culture, it does exist. But it comes from dark magic or something like that, therefore it's forbidden and only certain people, precisely shaman know how to make one. Also it not really a potion as it's not for consume but apply to the victim. But since it's forbidden I never see one for myself. It's better to avoid such thing anyway. I've heard that once under the spell, the victim will of course fall in love with the person but he/she wouldn't display the same emotion as the real couple that in love do.

I do not think that a love potion actually exists. I think that people make this stuff up for fun and to make money off of it too.
If there really was a love potion it would be on the news or something you know. A spell now you know that's not true.
Being hyponized would be well I don't know if someone can be hyponized I really just think that it's an act, but who knows.
Still though love is something that can never be forced upon it's something that comes from the heart and not love potions or being hyponized.
If there was such a thing then it would be fake love a life full of fakeness. You will always know that that person doesn't actually love you.
That would feel horrible anyway that's what I think on this issue.
Oh yeah and happy mylotting. Great question by the way.

No, I think such a thing can't excist. It sounds really weird to me, and I think love cannot be controlled in any way, even if we would sometimes want to.

In this time of age, i think it will only exist if you believe it does. I mean it was just a matter of mind setting. It's like if you keep on entertaining the idea in your mind that this has an effect on you, it will surely does. Same thing goes if you believe there is ghost then there is. Its a subjective and personal so maybe for those who have experienced and tried these potions or other magical stuff they do exist.
