Do you believe in "what comes around, goes around"?

"What comes around, and it will go around"; karma, whatever you call it, do you believe in it? People told me about it all the time, and I hope there is certain mysterious forces going on in this nature. My once trusted friend should deserve his day. A friend of mine I trusted for many years, we started a business together. Although the former business failed miserably, I still with him together to start another one unconditionally. But I never thought about he would stab me on my back like that. He made me indebted $6000 on credit card, and now it is involved with collection agency go after me, and the court judgment against me. When I received the collection agency letter, I already asked him what was going on, and obviously he took my name and social security number to apply for this business credit card. And he borrow up to that much money without paying it back. I kept myself calm, because he promised that he will work on paying it back. I forgive him for that, and I trust him will pay it back, maybe he is financial difficulty at the moment. Right after he reluctant to work with the collection agent, and unwilling to work on the court paper with me, I get suspicious. After I work out the consent agreement with the debtor to work out an arrangement on the payment. He would pay $200 per month until the debt is clear. He was paying it for the first 2 or 3 months, but afterward, he defaulted on them. Now, the collection agent is up against me again, and he is unwilling to pay for that debt. Now, I just buried myself in debt by knowing this b*stard. Now, I just have to sacrifice my hard - working saving for this debt which I never used before. If there is real karma existed. I hope that he would deserve the worst ever. Don't really trust anyone when doing a business, not even your best friend.

I have seen the good and the bad both come back at me so yes I do believe in what comes around goes around. I've also witnessed it happen to others. I had a similar problem when I loaned about $40,000 to my in-laws to start a business back in 2004. I think they paid me back maybe 10,000. The bad thing is that I borrowed the money in my name so I was left to pay back the debt. Since then they have had problems but now so many people know how they treated me so no one is willing to help them or trust them to get back on their feet. The best thing is try and put this behind you because for a long time I kept thinking if only I had not trusted them I would be in a whole lot better place. I also kept doubting myself and believing that I would make a similar mistake. But I had to learn that I couldn't control the past but I could control how I react to it and work hard and focus on the future.

Thanks for you sympathy. The worst thing is that I am indebted with some necessary debt along with my student loans. Oh well, life just like that, what more can I say.

Yes I do believe this. What comes around goes around. Because God has his eyes open on all things. Whenever certain people do bad things to us it reflects on their character. Although the karma might not come to them soon, but surely it will come. I suggest that you do not wish anything bad to your former friend because it is not also good to wish someone bad. Don't worry it will come back to him. God is always watching.

I am sorry that your friend had done this to you. Don't worry he will get what he deserves in the end. I am sorry that it went to a collection agency. Make sure that the court judgement is legit and that the company that the debt went into collections is in fact legit. Two months ago my husband's ex-wife opened three credit cards and they have shown up on my husband's credit report (she opened them using his last name and at the time they were opened the divorce or was finalized and he and I have been married almost three years now) well she stopped paying the bills and a collection agency has been calling us and harassing us. We ended up going to seeing a lawyer and the lawyer had sent over a copy of my husband's marriage license (the one with me as his wife) and the calls have stopped. I wish you the best of luck.

Sorry to hear about what happened. It's sad to know that there are people who will take advantage of other peoples kindness. I lent money to a friend who ran off and didn't pay. The amount was not as big as yours but I felt bitter for a long time. After 6 years of no 'hi or hellos' she called me up asking for forgiveness and after a week she wired me the money. We never know what's going to happen in the future. Let's just hope that your friend will have a change of heart.

Although i believe in this but most times i am not convinced of it. Good things and bad things happen all the time but usually one ends up blaming all the bad stuff to karma. A good way making sure that you do the right thing in the future!

Herro kingparker I believe that we will reap what we sow. If we sow kindness, mercy, etc. We will reap fruits. Maybe not in our life on earth, but in our eternal life. God also says "vengeance is mine", meaning He will punish the people who hurt others. That is a very generic comment, I'm not sure how to frame it. There was another discussion about God and earthly judicial system. They are different. Judicial system here is for our earthly lives. God's judgment is for our eternal lives. Prosperous mylotting

I am truly sorry for everything that you have been through. I believe in Karma, although not Karma itself because that is not written in our doctrine. But it does say in the Bible that we reap what we sow. And in physics, every actions gets back an equal reaction. You toss a ball to the wall, it bounces back to you. When it comes to your friend, I know what he did to you was so wrong, but I hope you will still forgive him in your heart and to not wish him any ills. Otherwise, if you do that, that same misfortune will also bounce back to you. I have read a novel once about the "fan effect" of black magic. If you use it against someone, it would also come back to you a hundredfold. Meaning, you suffer worse than the person you cursed. Maybe this is also a chance for you to recall your past. Have you done something really wrong in the past that might also lead to this "bad karma" of yours? But then, we were taught not to dwell in the past. So just keep moving forward and keep the faith. God will not give us anything we cannot handle.

HI Kingparker, I do believe in karma, I don't know what it is but there seem to be a "force" that makes things bounce back. If you do good to others, you may not expect it to be returned to you, but they do, in the same manner or in other ways. Same thing if you do bad things to others. I'm sorry about what happened to you and your friend. I had a long-time friend and we did a business together, but the company got indebted too because of her doing. After that I vowed not to do business with friends ever again.

I do believe in it. I have had good karma and bad karma come back to me without realzing it. Now I am careful with what I do.

For me, yes. It's just like if your kind and good to people, they will do the same way back to you. If you are harsh and cruel to people, then life will not be so kind to you. It may not happen right away, but someday, somehow, you will face the consequences of life.
