Yep, and I almost hurt myself! Just as I had gotten in the shower a huge wood roach crawled up the side of the wall. I almost hurt myself for real!I was able to flick the shower curtain and send it flying across the bathroom, but I was worried then because I didn't know for sure where it was! I got out cautiously and found it and flushed it.. but it made for an interesting morning to say the least! You ever been trapped in the shower with a bug?

HaHa, no this hasn't happened to me but I'm sure if it did, I would have broke my neck getting out of there! I bet that sure woke you up really quick with that surge of adrenaline, lol!
My friend was on a cruise with her daughter and went to take a shower. Next thing she was yelling and screaming that there was a bug in the shower!! Dancing around in there like a silly fool, she grabbed her towel and ran out. Her daughter went in to find the slimy little creature and here it was a watermelon seed floating around happily in the water, lol! Goes to show you if you don't have your glasses on, strange things can happen.
I've already picked up a spider by accident on the rug thinking it was lint...again, my glasses were off too, yuk! Talk about freaky, I think he was as surprised as I was.

I can't tell you how many times I've been freaked out by something when I didn't have my glasses on. But this bug was big enough for us blind people to see it without the glasses!!!

Yes I have and with my worst enemy...the spider. I was huge and black and I really didn't know what to do so I just stood there watching it. Then it started moving towards me and that's when I got scared because then I though that the water from the showerhead would throw it down to my feet. I started to panic and I almost fell out but luckily I grabbed onto a handle that my shower had. Well anyways I just got out of the shower filled a little cup that I had in the bathroom with water and I splashed it at the spider and I made the spider fall to the bottom of the shower. It just went down the drain along with my worries. But really I think a roach would be much worse. It would move to quick for me. If I were in the situation you had been I really think I would have just gone out yelling.

Spiders seem to have a major problem with Baths...they come along and fall in there, are unable to climb the steep sides again to escape,so they end up having to wait it out until we come along to find them and decide what happens next..Me,I evict them, not kill them...There was a big one in here last night,so I trapped it and threw it out into the front garden..I could SWEAR I heard the sound of that beastie landing on the grass!

Now that is pretty gross. I would have grabbed a bottle of shampoo and smooshed the bugger. I have never noticed any bugs in the shower here at home. However, when I used to go camping when I was little there were always bugs in the showers there. The most common bug would be the daddy long leg spiders. I remember my mom always telling me to make sure I wore my flipflops in the shower there.

In my partner and my first flat together it was a tiny one bedroom place with a really tiny bathroom and it was horrible! I was in the shower once and spotted a wood louse crawling up my leg. All the neighbours must have heard me screaming! I lunged out of the shower, batting myself all over, convinced they were everywhere! Yech!

Wow, what a story. I'm glad you didn't get hurt. I often find these Silverfish crawling around my bathroom in the middle of the night. They look like a smaller version of the centipede. I think they must be related but Silverfish only have 6 legs. My friend says that bugs like to crawl up sink holes so they told me to put water down the drains so the bugs can't come up them.

I wasn't in the shower but I came home one day and was looking through the mail got into the kitchen and saw something out of the corrner of my eye, so I look scream and jump onto a kitchen cabinet. It was a gardern snake about 15 inches long. Luckly my husband was home and came right away. Although he thought someone had tried to do something to me I screamed so loud. The silly snake when under he dishwasher. So my husband tried to tell me oh well he couldn't get it. That was not the right answer I made him pull the dishwasher out and get the snake. The one time I was coming down stairs and there was a huge wolf spider on the stairs. It was about the size of the palm of my hand, way to big to be in the house. I did the only thing I could think of, for some reason there is a rock that holds our bedroom door open, was there when we moved in and we just kept it. Well I go the rock and threw it at the spider, I missed but it ran down stairs, we have a tri level and this thing finally ended up in the basment and my little dog killed it. My 60 lbs dog we this thing tried to bite him so he ran and hid. By my beagle mix well it tried to bit him too and that just pissed him off he killed it and then I put the phone book over it and stomped on that for a few minutes. Thank goodness we have a really big phone book out here. I once sat next to a wolf spider on our couch, couch is brown are so are wolf spiders. We have tried many things but can't keep all the bugs out.

I can't say I felt trapped but we get little centipedes all the time here in phoenix. I'm not even sure where they come from but you find them around the toilet, on your shower curtain and even in the kitchen. I did get a stink bug in my meal at the Five and Diner and that was way more disturbing to me.
