Honestly do you really like your name or would you have rather be named something else. I would actually would have liked to be named something else something that everyone could pronounce you know.
Well I could always change my name when I get a bit older, but I think that would devastate my parents so i guess I will just stick with my name for now. Still I always think in my head why did they have to name me that.

When I was young, I hated my name. I thought it sounded so old and mature and dull. I even tried to get people to call me by another name that was more hip and cool and shorter. lol. Once I asked my mom why she gave me my name, I began to appreciate it more and it became a connection between us.
Now I love my name. People are always telling me I have a pretty name and it is flexible when it comes to nicknames.

I used to not like it when I was a child. But growing up, I realized the beauty of my name and how it fits me, my personality and the way I think.
Now, I would never want to change it. In fact, I like hearing it every time my friends call me.

I used to wish for another name...something fancier...but I haven't wished that for a very long time. I was named after my mother's sister so it has a special meaning to several people...including me now.

I like my first name, but I would happy If I had other second name. My second name is Peter, but I would happy for name Janis or Jonh. You do not need to change your name, because your parents was given It, because It is special. Every name is special and they had special opportunities. And It would be hard to other people to learn your new name, because they was accustomed with your old name. Take care, Have a nice day!

Coincidence! When I was young,my name was always been pronounced in a wrong way because one Chinese word in my name was very rare in use so that quite a lot people can't recognize correctly. Thanks to a famous pop music star's popularity,my name won't been mistaken after then. The singer and I have used a same word in our names.

Yup! My mother is one of those people who believe names are somewhat prophetic - that is, that the names we hold somehow mirror a very prominent facet of our characters - and so when she gave birth to her children, she made sure to pick names that denote very good qualities. I don't know whether it's true or not, of course, and I don't really pay that much attention to name meanings, but I like my name and I like knowing what my name means. Whether it's prophetic still remains to be seen, haha, but I like it and don't think I'd want to change it for any reason.
Then again, if I have to change my name, I'd probably like to be named just like my mother. Her name means "beloved" and in her case, it really has been prophetic, haha. And who wouldn't want to be loved, yeah? :D

My name is Kiet, a common Vietnamese name. People can't really pronounce it right so I told them just to call me K. I never want to change my name because that is part of my identity. My parents named me that for a reason and I respect their decision. Your name define who you are and even though you might not like it, you are still you. The way I see it is that it's always a lot better to become satisfied with your name than trying to get a more common name so other people can pronounce it. You can always create a nickname for yourself and reserve your real name for your special friend to call.

For a while in school, I was using my middle name, but my name kind of grew on me, I guess. It was funny after that to have people come up to me and call me Elizabeth...

When I was younger, I didn't like my name that much because it has a bit of a Western sound that some people cannot pronounce it properly. Also, I have two names, "Ariane Gayle"... When someone asks my name, and I answer politely, they would always follow the conversation with, "What? Can you repeat that again?" It just feels bad. But then when I went to college, I have learned to love my name, maybe it just entails a little confidence. :)
