Why are Dogs called Man's Bestfriend?

Doga are the most loyal pets known to man. We can shout at a dog, punish a dog, even smack a dog and it will still be a loyal friend and lie next to us, giving us it's paw and wanting to play. Cats on the other hand are selfish creatures, they usually only want to know us when they want food plus you cant train cats to be obedient like you can with dogs. I'd rather have a dog than a selfish greedy cat any day.

A dog can be trained so that he or she is very obedient. He or she always looks at his or her owner lovingly. A dog is special to his or her owner from that very first day. For the rest of the dog's life the dog is the best friend of the owner or the family. A dog appreciates his or her food. A dog can go on enjoyable walks. A cat likes to please himself or herself. Like a cat enjoys fuss from his or her owner. He or she likes the dinner and then goes off on his or her own. A pet bird for example a parrot can be friendly but is not obedient like a dog. A dog is part of the family similar to the children in way I believe.

Hi, A cat is actually very selfish animal. You stop feeding it and it will steal from your neighbors' kitchen. Monkeys are human-like and that is the problem. They sometimes do intelligent stuffs that may make the pet-owner jealous. Besides, monkeys are too much intelligent to be obedient. Birds can scream your head off, but it would prefer to be silent when someone intrudes through the window. So birds are of no use to mankind (except, of course the chickens). A dog is cool. Being dumb, it doesn't protest. Being paranoid, it starts howling even at your guests. Isn't that something? Dogs licks your shoes. So you rarely need a polish. Dogs can be of hybrid species. The dog has been domesticated by man, a cat or bird or other animals can fend for themselves. Humans have made the dog reliant on them as they are no longer a wild animal but domestic pet. This is now why we say mans best friend as its the only animal we have trained to do what we wish. A loyal animal as it needs humans for it to survive
